Friendly helpful staff,the food here for our party of 8 was amazing,no complaints at all,the Nashville nachos, sharing platters,onions rings,chips, garlic breads all served very quickly and the food was just so so good! Id even come over from Blackburn to The Stag again for a meal the food was that good.
I came to meet up with friends from many years standing. It was lovely to see them. Everyone seemed to enjoy their afternoon. Thank you our meals were good and the staff were very efficient. I even new one of your ladies Catherine.Food: 5/5
Overall, enjoyed this. Came in last week at around half 4 thinking I'd beat the teatime rush. I didn't, because the food took around an hour to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Good traditional fare. Bit crowded in the dining area, a large family of noisy kids. Surprised for a Tuesday, but I guess it just shows that this is a popular pub. Nice pint of Guinness too
Great food at a great price. Only reason it's getting 4 stars is because the haloumi starter was a bit boring and the steak was over cooked with the mixed grill. Other than that it was great and staff were friendly.Recommended dishesMix Grill
Always a lovely atmosphere in The Stag, all of the staff are really friendly and the food is always really nice! Lisa is always very helpful & sorts out any problems straight away will definitely keep coming back! Amazing team
This is a great place to go if you just want pub grub they have some good lunch time offers drink prices are reasonable food is what you would expect the usual burgers, chips & fish, Gammon and chips you get the idea does get a bit noisy on match days either football or rugby. If I have a negative it would be that Monday isn't a good day to go and eat there there seem to run out of a lot of things on Mondays or could be after the weekend we have been several times in a Monday and they have no steak no saled things like that on a plus they accept blue light card so you can get money of your food bill worth a visit
Busy pub on a Friday afternoon with a small car park. Make sure if using the pub you enter your numberplate in the little machine! Drinks are a good price and there was a good choice. Good looked nice but I didn't sample it this time. Though we may go back!
We booked a table for 8 people, when we got there they said there was no booking , we showed them the booking and they put us on 2 tables crammed up was not a good start, after a while a table became free, they offered a few people free drinks if they move so we could sit there, staff were brilliant,very polite and helpful, food was outstanding,would definitely recommend this place
It was a busy Saturday night to be fair but I felt the food service was unreasonably slow, we were told a 45 minute wait, it was more like double that. The food, when it finally arrived was acceptable, nothing more. Got the feeling most of the staff were inexperienced, I didn't ask a question without it being referred to someone else.
I would like to give a big shout out to Will. Thank you for a great afternoon atmosphere was amazing , food was great. There was 26 of us in total and we all had a good time.
