Beyond terrible if your a man at work to get an appointment is impossible I’ve had a over 50’s health check , been told by txt from the surgery I need to book an appointment to be put on medication and can’t get one!!! Along with having other medical problems that I have been trying to sort out for years ! When you get an appointment the doctors are useless ,I’ve give up it’s less stressful
Life threatening. Used to be fantastic but now one of the worse surgeries I have ever dealt with. Completly uncontatactable. My child and I ended up in hospital due to not being able to contact my GP. Again this week I have been put at risk due to e consult system not working as it should. Be assured there is a manager of this company making a vast profit at the NHS ' expense.
I had to give a star otherwise this review would not get posted. That's literally the only reason for the star. The only way I can get an appointment on the day is to call 111 and force them to get the practice to give me one. When you finally have the call it's still a call!!, doctors will give the wrong information in regards to appointments. So when you arrive for an appointment the doctor has booked for you, the front of house will laugh at you when you come in for an appointment that doesn't exist! I have a serious condition with my leg, so to be laughed at when I come in for what I am told is an appointment with an "orthopaedic specialist" is insulting. I am actively looking elsewhere for a new GP because this one is a joke despite what their new CQC report says. The more things change, the more they stay the same clearly.
I would write this in a complaint email if I knew where to send it. This is a mixed review I have found all staff to be good and the service I have received when coming to the doctors I can’t fault. My complaint and poor scoring is due to the processes, I currently have a 4 month old baby who became very unwell. I called the surgery at 8am on the dot wanting to see a doctor to ensure my baby safety as she didn’t seem right. I was on hold for 1hr 40 mins to then be told there was no appointments left not the receptionist fault at all however I stated she is 4 months old surely a doctor would want to see her for duty of care as she is vulnerable. However nothing could be done, this is why I am leaving 1 star as the system of this is crazy I’m more than happy to be on hold for ages but I feel like there should be priority to the appointments instead of first come first serve as I’m sure people wouldn’t begrudge a baby getting the appointment over them. I then had to go to A&E as my baby really started to get worse and we found out she had a viral infection and bronchitis i wasnt seen by A&E until 6pm. Therefore if I had got an appointment my baby might not have had to go on oxygen and be admitted for hours to ensure she was breathing correctly. The staff aren’t the problem here it’s the processes in place making it a poor service along with a lack of care.
WHY DON'T YOU ANSWER THE PHONE?! They place you on hold "caller number one" letting you waste your money and time then after 30 min or so they cut you off anyway. I only wanted to ask one question. No wonder you get so much abuse.
Simply the worst GP practice in the UK. Repeat prescriptions can take upto two weeks to process. So expect to run out of your medication every month and end up in hospital. Very hard to get a GP appointment even if you call every day at 8am for over a week. Totally not fit for purpose. Advoid at all costs.
Where to start.....the reception staff are, on the whole, helpful, and do their best under the pressure which is placed upon them by the sheer indifference of the doctors who work there. Said doctors seem to have placed themselves on a pedestal, far too important to deal with patients with complex needs and who are suffering from the ravages of ageing and mental health issues. Face to face reviews are a thing of the past Covid being the standard excuse for not seeing patients in person; promises are made, by them, to call to arrange home visits - these promises are empty in the main. Then, the "locum" excuse gets called into play. To a non medical person, the whole practice seems to be shambolic at best. I don't think things will improve any time soon; from overhearing conversations between patients and pharmacy staff at the pharmacies in Hoo, a great many people are of the same opinion. Sadly, the option to leave and find another surgery isn't open, due to the increasing population in Hoo and surrounding areas. The poor souls who suffer due to the situation may very well have to continue to do so, unless the place gets a radical shake up very quickly. If at all possible, avoid being a patient there.
I've just recently joined the practice and I have never experienced anything more frustrating and ridiculous. I can appreciate the NHS are overwhelmed, however to not ever be able to get an appointment and by the looks of previous reviews, every person is having the same issue... I cannot comprehend how? Rang up daily at 8am to wait over 2 hrs in a queue to get to number 1 and be hung up on every time. It's just rude and it's why people are suffering.
I dont use doctors that much however have so far spent 5 hours trying to get a medical review for my tablets and going to run out in 4 days. They are shameful and cqc really need to put this practise under review. So i will be on my death bed in A&E because i cant get through, typical surgery making the nhs look bad. Now the council really need to stop building houses
I had a telephone appointment with Dr Vinay UPPAL and the service provided was excellent. Not only getting my booster vaccination but getting blood tests done and medication from the Knights Road Pharmacy without any delay. Many thanks for the help, advice and care provided especially at this very difficult time.
