On 10th Oct I had a Breathing Test done and was told results would be back in a week. In the meantime the same Nurse booked a Blood Test for the following week. I had the Blood Test done late afternoon on 18th October. On 19th October I received a text message to request I arrange a call back to discuss results. I assumed this was for the Beathing excerise results as advised by the Nurse. Did this and have been given a call back appointment for 17th November yes, you read that correctly. Today I received another text message asking me to complete a questionnaire for the Pulmonary Rehab Service. When I queried this I have been told that the call back on 17th November is for my Blood results! So, to recap, you can have a Blood Test late afternoon with results back by 10am next morning, but hey- ho you can't get the details for 4 weeks !!!!!????? I blame poor management of the Surgery, and the system they implement. Managers traditionally cause chaos, fact. I know, I've had the misfortune of working under them myself on numerous occassions.
Unbelievably unhelpful receptionist staff told to wait 2 weeks for a appointment for a under 6 month old then told the appointment wouldn't even to be to see someone would be over the phone. After being g told by pharmacy's and NHS 111 she needed a appointment ASAP
I think that could be the worse gp practice ever! Always refuse appointments even if its for my little one. So far he have been seen once when i needed it and he is 2y 7m old.
The worst GP in medway !!!! Needed 6 weeks review for the baby and they offering me appointment in January!!!!! Thats ridiculous
I called the surgery to book an appointment for the next day, the receptionist says she can’t do that and then says she can’t hear me. How’s that suddenly possible????
Very kind and welcoming reception staff, doctors very kind , wouldn't want to change doctors very efficient.
Medical records missing for 2 years, wouldn't have been dealt with if I hadn't chased it up, they kept telling me to contact my previous GP to find out when in fact it should have been an administrative job. After 2 months of chasing it up I'm told to wait, they constantly told me that they will send my notes on and someone will contact me and no one does. Once I sent a complaint email I received contact from someone dealing with it, then I'm given a day that it will all be available but when I access the app most of the records from my previous GP are patchy and a lot of it missing. When I contacted them on the day it was supposed to be ready the individual on the phone said they didn't know what to do and who to inform... Just give me my records already. I'm having to go to a private clinic because of the medical negligence and only because the private clinic asked for records I found out that they were missing. Terrible practise and they think they already know the answer without finding out the individuals needs. I'm currently on hold with a member of staff telling me that they are not at the surgery so I can't collect my records... Sorry what's that's to do with my records I was literally on the phone to a colleague moments before this call who confused me and said my records won't be available for 4 weeks from when I sent the request.... Because of that confusion I'm calling again and now I'm told they have to talk discuss something amount themselves to see if it's there... How unprofessional and unorganised, this is my personal records that I have a right to access and they have withheld from me for so long. Disgusting! [UPDATE] I patiently gave the surgery the legal 4 weeks to provide my medical records, even after being told it would be ready 1 week sooner. 3 working days have past and no records at hand. With constant failures to call back. Pure MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE and disgustingly UNPROFESSIONAL with NO SENSE OF URGENCY!
I have been with this surgery for many years. I work on the health and social care interface so have an idea of what is going on behind the scene, so this is an honest and truthful review of The Sunlight Centre Surgery. Firstly, they are of course struggling like every other GP practice in the UK. We just have to accept that after covid etc. I have never, truly NEVER had any problem with the GP’s in this practice, maybe I got lucky but they have always and without fail been knowledgeable, supportive, accurate, polite and professional. I am very pleased with the service I have been given. Frontline staff, however, not so good. But not all of them. Some are so polite and pleasant and helpful. Thank you, frontline staff for this. You tolerate a lot and I feel for you. However the members of this group who have been there longer than most appear to think they run the show and that they are fully medically qualified, making decisions regarding your health and medical issues that they no nothing about. Unbelievably one of them refused to allow my specialist to speak with a GP today, about a suspect cancer diagnosis. I will be contacting the appropriate body regarding this. It has gone on for too long I'm afraid. Therefore, sadly, I have to give this surgery 1 star, I wish I could give it less, not because of the GP’s who again I repeat have been amazing, but because of SOME frontline staff who will decide they know best regarding your medical complaint. This could be a matter of life or death so my advice is go somewhere else. Anywhere else. If you are from the surgery, Ambley Green or any medical department I am more than happy to discuss this with you in full. Thank you for reading.
Really unprofessional reception stuff and rude doctor. I have booked injection for my that time 11.5 months old baby. I have asked if is ok to vaccine her before she finish 12 months they said it shouldn't be any problem with that. And guess what once we arrived... she was too young! Someone supposed to contact with me to book another appointment but no-one called me back . When my baby was sick and called to doctor he start literally shouting on my why I call him instead go to hospital she had fever. In that time he could wrote prescription for her but was so busy with shouting on me...
used to be a really good doctors back before covid!! i usually order my pills through the pharmacy2u app but lost my phone and now they have withheld my medication from being sent out until i can get a phone sorted to phone them!! ive not had my anxiety pills now for over 2 weeks so might not even give them when i do contact them next which just wrong because i withdraw from them!!
