St Stephens Health Centre.

Despite repeatedly calling for 2 days as soon as they are open to get a same day appointment for my baby I cannot get through. First day their automated "we are closed" message was not switched off. Second day I got through only to get a message saying the reception for booking appointments was unavailable. I can't get an online GP consultation for my baby as the patient has to be over 18. The Practice Manager really needs to sort this system out. They might also speak to some of the younger female reception staff who can be incredibly rude. I have previously experienced someone called Dee showing a complete lack of empathy when I had to reschedule an appointment due to a sudden close family friend bereavement. And I have witnessed a young female receptionist, in the surgery, shouting angrily at an elderly woman to come to the desk, when it was obvious the woman was hard of hearing and could not understand her. It was disgraceful. The doctors here are quite good. But they are seriously let down by some of their reception staff and an ineffective management. I'm writing a this review on here because I cannot find a complaints contact on the health centre's website.

Worst surgery ever do not care about you at all m. advice to any new registering try anothee surgery nearby like ruston street clinic i have transfered there now and have not been having any problems with prescribing my choice of branded medications

called reception to ask about a prescription that hadn't been sent to the chemist for my sons asthma pump was completely dismissed by the receptionist who kept repeating herself that they do not take prescription queries for this afternoon and to call back tomorrow which i understand. once i explained to the receptionist that my son had hes bag stolen at college and just wanted to know what had happened with the prescription that i ordered on 29/10/17 she then said under her breath for god sake with an annoyed sigh! extremely rude very Unprofessional do not take calls from patients if you clearly do not have any customer care, doctors and nurses and most of reception are very helpful apart from that person

Unhelpful reception and back office. Phone booking system are awful. Their online services are Improving. But you need to fill in a lot of information about yourself.

The reception staff are awful, with no experience in speaking to members of the public. I am shocked at how rude they are! They are an embarrassment to the doctors at this surgery and quite frankly to the NHS. They strongly need to consider basic training to manage patients and learn that politeness and basic manners go a long way!
