We where in town for the Lamb of God concert walked in The Squire at 5:05 and we where out of there by 5:45 just in time for the show food was hot and delicious. The only thing I would have changed would be some seasoning or sauce for the coleslaw on the blackened chicken wraps and salt those chips that come with it. Wings where fall off the bone quality and the deep fried magic shrooms won a place in our hearts
The Squire Pub & Grill has a great and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. While the menu isn't very extensive, everything we ordered was prepared with great care and attention to detail. The dishes were absolutely delicious, and you can tell they put effort into making each one. We will definitely be coming back!
On my first time visiting Canada, I stopped by the town of London. Right around the corner from the hotel I was staying at, was "The Squire". For the first time in my life I tried poutine, and I really liked it! This is a nice pub that has some very reasonably priced drinks compared to the US. Liza provided a very comforting experience and carried a good conversation about anything. She also made a "surprise" pink drink that was really delicious! 10/10 will visit again!
Can't say enough good things about the Squire! Firstly, the people are welcoming and always accommodating. The food and drinks are always top notch. The Squire is greatly appreciated in the community sponsoring local teams and helped with my charity golf tournament providing breakfast for a group of 75 people. The best sports bar in town hands down!
We came in for a drink & some apps before a concert we went to last night, we got in there. Took 10+ minutes for us to be greeted, when we were greeted the server didn't sound like she wanted to be there. We ordered our drinks & food at the same time as we were in a time crunch. I ordered a brickworks cider, and my husband ordered a margarita. She said oh, I don't know if we have brickworks I haven't seen that one in a while. Very rudely, there is another way to approach saying that. Then when we order our food she said they were out of the pretzels as they were SO busy all day. Never have I been to a restaurant that has been out of something. No problem, we got a flat bread. That took 15+ minutes, not an issue. When she brought it to us, we immediately asked for the bill so we could just head out when we were done. She comes with the machine, and the bill. I said I am paying with cash, still proceeds to wait there as I pull my cash out. Mind you - that is so unprofessional. Both my husband and I work in the restaurant industry, and never have been treated this way at a restaurant. She asks if we need change I said yes, then comes back rudely thinking we didn't tip her. Didn't say have a good night, nothing. Rolled her eyes & left. We left a tip, because it's still a standard thing to do. But did she deserve 15% absolutely not. This was our first time here and it definitely will be our last.
Brought the 2 ladies in my life wife & granddaughter in for a meal on a slower Tuesday p.m. just before heading over to London's Grand Theatre for the first showing of "Clue," the play. Squires has a great pub decor. Comfy bench seats for us ancient office workers. Kudos to the owners on conversion into a memorable place worth the visit. I member a bank was here and next door was Howard's Men's Wear. Squires' food & service was excellent. Deep fried dill slices appetizer was superb with the homemade dill dipping sauce. My Squire Burger the smaller one was top shelf stuff. I rarely do food pics, but I had no choice this time. Nice simple presentation & perfectly cooked. Ladies both had the buttermilk crispy Farmhouse chicken sandwich. They luved them & will pass the word. Thanks to Chef Connor & Chris at bar for a nice, memorable afternoon meal with my 2 fav ladies. Definitely coming back & I will recommend the pub & grill to my business acquaintances, friends & family. P.S. The ladies confessed afterwards that my own, highly coveted home made burgers cannot compare to what Chef Connor made. I am biased, of course, but I must too confess - best burger I've had since the family's 2015 trip to P.E.I. The Cobs buns were perfect.
The place was empty great bar, great TV set and pretty food. Service was ok.Food: 4/5
I came in with my family for a Father's Day dinner. We have come to The Squire a few times now and have always had a great experience. Tonight's server Liza did an amazing job taking care of us. She made sure our drinks were always topped up, checked in with us throughout our dinner to see if we needed anything and we were happy with our meals. We highly recommend The Squire and hopefully you get to enjoy Liza as your server as we did.
Ordered beef taco, chicken finger and fish in chips. Nothing spectacular just average foods. Also found a small rock in the chicken finger which was super weird. The server was nice and friendly. Just a good place to hang out with friends and have a drink.
Liza was super friendly and helpful. Couldn't have wished for a better server. The food was amazing and the squire burger was to die for. Never had a juicer homemade burger. It was my first time here but definitely not my last. Keep it up!Food: 5/5
