What a lovely ambiance, Lovely place. Food lovely all homemade. And you can tell by flavours. We had starters and mains.to full for puds. Will definitely go again.
Yesterday was my first visit to this wonderful pub with a great atmosphere. For me the excellent service from Mia was outstanding. The communication skills and the professional attitude from such a young member of staff left me feeling a sense of being heard, a sense of being valued as a customer. I can foresee a great future for Mia in the hospitality sector .
Went in for Sunday roast, awful. Pureed stuffing, lumpy mash or smash, tinned marrowfat peas frozen vegetables & the tiniest bit of chicken. Oh, a Yorkshire pudding too soft & chewy. Came out covered in gravy as well as an extra jug, no doubt to disguise the food. No, I didn't complain but the man on the next table did.
Lovely food friendly staff. Kids a great time during half term with the Halloween crafts
Closed ! No explanation why can no one make this lovely little pub work ? Such a shame it used to be the heart of the village.
Only popped in for a non alcoholic beverage to cool myself down on a long walk on a hot evening, looked busy with people eating and drinking, would go back but would ask for tap water as the only water they had was in a glass bottle and was expensive in a place you shouldn't penalise people that go in and don't drink alcohol still come to a pub.
Under new ownership and really trying to rebuild its reputation. Decorating ready for Halloween and the beer offering was spot on
Kitchen closes at 6pm on Sundays. No mention of that on the website
Friendly and welcoming staff. Food was good pub food. Beer tasted nice. Will be back again!
Updated review: We discovered this place during lockdown when they started selling takeaway tapas. We've continue to frequent the Spread since reopening. Always hold tribute nights, or events for the family, and they're always great. Menu is changed regularly to offer variety. Always food for everyone, and their recent offer of fiverfest has been amazing.
