Food was well priced and great portion. Service from all the staff was excellent. Will be going again.
It's always a pleasure to visit this place... From the staff to the customers, you're always welcomed with a smile from everyone at this place. They have a live act on every weekend and the floor caters for all. At first there's the three garden areas to choose from one of which comes with BBQ kitchen. Within you're greeted by a great live act on stage should you go on the weekend, with a very well presented restaurant area. In my opinion the best establishment in the northwest.
Totally changed since last time we visited, it is now more of a fast food pub rather than a restaurant. My chicken burger was full of grease dripping out and they only serve pizza, burgers and frozen food. The bonus was that the staff were very helpful and professional. Will not be going back again anytime in the near future.
The food, drinks and staff are good but I don’t recommend supporting a business that refuses to pay its staff. Some staff haven’t been paid for months and the owner just ignores all messages and phone calls. When the staff are eventually paid they’re usually significantly underpaid and struggle to get the money that they are owed. Even when staff do eventually leave they spend months chasing the pay that they were promised they would get weekly. The owner refuses to hire a manager, yet also doesn’t want the to take the responsibility himself of having to pay his staff - so he just doesn’t. He has stated that ‘his job isn’t 24/7’ which it shouldn’t be, yet he doesn’t respect that his staff have bills that unfortunately they can’t postpone like he postponed paying his staff. He has refused to pay his staff for a week as it was ‘his sons birthday.’ Badly run organisation.
We've had so many wonderful meals here. The service is good, staff are friendly and the live music is a bonus! Love eating out here.
Went here on Christmas Eve and this was the worst meal I have had in a very long time. I could have produced better quality food at home, the service was terrible and the restaurant itself was full of chavs. Had heard good things but was very disappointed
Called in for a drink after a walk round Jumbles Country Park. Was extremely impressed! The loos were immaculate and hand lotion provided. Bought soft drinks, tea and coffee and sat outside. There are both smoking and non smoking seating areas outside. The inside of the Crofters is lovely! Very well decorated and very stylish. We had a look at the menu and it contains a wide variety all at reasonable prices. Will definitely return for a meal in the near future. Staff were lovely, pleasant, polite and helpful.
Excellent service and food, nice night would be a different experience on a busy night as tables are to close to each other. Nice , friendly staff
Lovely pub to sit outside with a beer and relax had a meal which was nice staff were lovely the young waitress who looked after us could not do enough would go again
Came here for a friends birthday, food took that long to come out he could have had another birthday, chicken on the roast din din was dryer than a sandstorm. Pizzas where undercooked and soggy underneath, floppy. Chips didn’t come out with the food and had to ask twice about them. The person who’s birthday it was has been crying all the way home, has had to ring 111 as was getting panicky at the thought of another floppy pizza in the future. The examiner on the phone diagnosed him with pepperluciophobia fear of pizzas but said this could turn into cibophobia fear of food. My friend is very traumatised by these events, also had to deal with a very rude wasp throughout the meal which landed on said floppy pizza, and then drank my friends pint. It left without paying towards the bill. The best part of this meal I must say was the cake though, it was really amazing and I’m glad we got it from asda beforehand for him. If your a chef and can’t make a pizza then I would strongly recommend getting some microwaveable Chicago towns in. Unhappy Bernard and friends :
