What a lovely pub!! Set by the harbour in the old Railway Station!! Had a few drinks outside overlooking the sea before boarding the old steam train the Woodland Wanderer , which pulled up right in front of us! The staff were friendly and the Apple Cider on draught was lovely! There was a lovely carvery being served and the atmosphere was great! Would definitely visit again! A good place to chill and enjoy the views!
Lovely spot with a great setting right by the railway. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, which made the whole visit. Food was delicious too. The gammon steak was grilled to perfection and tasted spot on, and the onion rings were banging. Five stars across the board, would happily come back.
We visited Spooners Pub for drinks with friends we had just met on the Railway journey to Blanaeu. They had travelled all the way from Jersey and It was a pleasure to share some time with them over a drink. We didn't have food but our friends are their the previous day and said the meals were good value with plenty of choice. Guest beers are usually from the Purple Moose Brewery and their dark ale is recommended. We had 2 rounds of drinks for 4 people and each tab was less than &20. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Recommended
Fantastic location, just inside the railway station! We can access it from outside as well as from the platform!nView from the restaurant are nice and beautiful ! Food was very delicious and served quickly. It was freshly prepared and served piping hot !nnStaff is very helpful and friendly!nToilets are not in the premises and one has to access the toilets on the platform!
A unique place as it is directly on the platform for a steam train! Great place with great views. Good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Didn't have food so can't comment there. Allows dog in there outside seating area, however can get noisy when the train leaves the station. Overall a brilliant place.
