Pricing structure suspect to say the least. I was told my glasses with a cheaper £25 frame worked out at £244. But if i chose a frame for £69 they would be £204!! Apparently the offers didnt kick in until you spend more than a certain amount on a frame. Load of bollxxxx in my opinion. When i asked how much to replace just the lenses i was told £286. How can that be?? Its like saying a mini is 10 grand but a Bentley is only 6. One way or the other they will get you. They were not able to answer the questions i asked about this and were avoiding the issue. Surely the cost is the cost regardless. If anyone from the company with some clout reads this an explanation would be beneficial. There is no transparency in your prices that makes economic sense to your customers.

As a follow-up to the review from sipukka i have just been back to the shop and got a full refund for £485 (with no quibble or fuss i must point out). The equivalent 2 pairs of glasses at Asda with thinned lenses, variafocals, anti-glare and reactolite lenses with designer frames cost £212.00. That is some difference isnt it?? We even asked the lady at specsavers if she was prepared to lower the price in an effort to keep our custom but no joy. How long can this company sustain losses like this?? Not long i feel.

I was late to my appointment by 7 minutes and they wouldn't see me... Even though while I was there they continued to get calls from all their customers all saying they would be late as there was a crash on the A414 so no one could get into Hertford.

Booked an appointment online for my 86 year old mum and told them she needed ground floor eye test (in the box that said 'further info e.g. - easy access needed) Days later I was told her appointment was cancelled because it was upstairs. When I asked if they couldn't just swap it to downstairs like they do at the doctors they said no. After being told she couldn't get an appointment for another two weeks I told them to forget it, I'd take her somewhere else.
