I’ve been going to Sparx for a while now for a wax, however when I went yesterday I noticed that the beautician was double dipping, she in fact used one spatula for my entire Hollywood wax. Unfortunately I won’t be going to Sparx again after seeing this - spatulas cost peanuts, and there is no need for double dipping, it’s unhygienic, especially given that I do occasionally bleed whilst having a wax.. my germs are being put back in the wax pot ready for the next client. I won’t entertain somewhere that double dips, as in my opinion, it makes me question the rest of the salon’s cleanliness. Such a shame as the staff are lovely and I always enjoyed coming in.Service: Waxing
Lovely staff that were completely professional, accommodating and friendly. Mary, the beautician, was efficient which helped reduce the pain of waxing whilst also ensuring the treatment was completed to a highly professional standard. Will definitely be using them again. Thank you.Service: Waxing
Nice professional manicurist and a good finish to the polish…the actually facility lacks the modern equipment needed to make this a 5* facility….water brought out in a bowl, very uncomfortable hard customer chair balanced atop a raised platform, given the age of this building I was surprised it didn't possess the usual quality pedicurist chair and foot-bath?…I left with a decent pedicure but also a backache.Service: Pedicure
Professional staff, nice atmosphere, efficient but maybe too efficient waxing services. Skin was red and tender around armpit and intimate area for a few days after going to the salon, sometimes quite painful if my movements weren't careful. This is not my first time going at a salon for waxing but it's never been quite as painful as this pain never lasted more than a day. The quality of the service was definitely not worth the price I paid.
