I cannot fault this Surgery. The reception staff are always helpful , polite, friendly and go out of their way to sort out any issues. The Nurses are brilliant too. I’ve never a problem getting an appointment although I’m lucky not to have needed many.nAlso happy with the treatment from the doctors.nSo much better than my previous surgery & thankful I changed.
Partner has been in pain with her stomach for months now her doctors surgery just doesn't seem to care she got a referral to Oxford hospital but the doctors never put the referral in we only found out a month later when you called to find out what's happening that it hasn't even been processed now we can't get an appointment just to talk about simple pain relief never experienced this with my doctors surgery they are a complete mess
One of the worst surgeries in Swindon. I have been registered for 2 years and have never managed to successfully get an appointment. All my calls get cut as soon as they pick up, always fully booked and there is always an excuse. I have been on the peak of death due to not being able to get the quality of care necessary before my conditions have escalated. I have had to resort to 111 and walk in centre services due to this level of negligence this surgery has demonstrated throughout the past years. If you care for your health please do not depend on this surgery at all! especially if you’re vulnerable.
Complete apathy!! Today I called 173 times from 0800 ..phone engaged. At 0834 was placed in a cue. At 0844 became number 1 in cue. 1nHour 8 minutes later @ number 1 phone went dead. I went into the practice to ask to see the practise manager whom I showed my phone and the documented calls. Her reaction…everywhere is like that. My very strong advice to anyone seeking a duty of care during your time of need…avoid this place like the plague. Today I have reported this surgery to the BMA and the S West NHS requesting under the freedom of information act the call volume records for this practise. I will cordially publish these to share , call volumes , wait times, compared to number of GP appointments actually available. Not impressed!
What is the point of being registered as a patient at this doctor’s surgery when they never have any appointments available? I thought that doctors saw patients when they are ill.nIf I could, I would not even give them one star.nThe way this surgery is run is shambolic. You have to telephone from 8am to make an appointment for that day. You cannot make an appointment for another day!? In reality the phone rings and no one answers and then you are cut off. When eventually you do get through, there aren’t any appointments available.nMy daughter has been a patient for over 2 years and has never ever managed to see a doctor face to face. She has been told to ring 111, and when she has spoken to them they have told her to make an appointment with her GP. So she has been sent around and around in circles. This has caused her a great deal of anxiety and stress.nThey tell me they operate this system because of Covid….even though they were doing this before the pandemic. It seems that patients don’t always turn up when they book appointments in advance. And they would have to cancel appointments if a Doctor caught Covid. I hate it when Covid-19 is used as a excuse for bonkers bureaucracy.nFortunately this is not a nationally adopted system, as the doctor’s surgery I’m registered at do make appointments for their patients in advance.nI would ask this surgery to think about how their patients feel and what their system is doing to them? How many of their patients just give up and put up with illness, until it becomes an emergency? This just can’t be right.
