This place is a tiny box of a room filled with a few uninspired prints of cards and some over priced uninteresting boot sale find books. If you do try to take a photo of something on the shelves a rude surly old man will yell "no photography" at you then continue to glare at his cluttered dirty desk. Save yourself the trouble of hearing the rude staff bark at you and skip this shop.

Top notch bookshop. I could easily spend a whole day in there. Great selection of books and the lovely chap behind the counter can help you with any questions you might have. Highly recommended. PS. I noticed a couple of bad reviews based on price. It's important to understand that Southside Books does sell new books as well as second-hand books, which understandably warrant the RRP.

I've read other peoples reviews and i dont agree with the negative ones. I had a lovely time there, and absolutely got the books cheaper in perfect condition than in a regular store. The owner was very nice and helpful. I suspect the negative experiences come from the fact that he is quite kurt which people have misinterpreted. I am moving here soon and plan to visitore often.
