This place is full of antique books and objects, as well as lots of modern things. Gloves, books, models, fish bottle openers, compasses, mugs, tote bags, artwork, coasters... this is the perfect place to go for gifts. It has also been renovated recently.
We first visited the shop a few years ago, and we absolutely loved it. On our second visit to Edinburgh last December, we wanted to go back and buy some more quirky souvenirs. We gave it a few attempts, on different days of the week, different times, and it was closed all the time, with no note on the door or anything. So I messaged them on Facebook making an enquiry about it, and the message was read, but I never had any reply. Looks like they don’t need customers and their money anymore. Such a shame, as it truly is or rather was, when it was open a wonderful shop.
Everything in here is so unique... even well known classic books have covers I have not seen before! I really enjoy the vintage collection in the back of the store as well as the vintage knick knacks on the shelves.
A very lovely shop. Very interssting stuff to buy. Come and visit.
Really nice, small bookstore. Wonderful selection of books we didnt see somewhere else. Hope we can come back again.
This is a truly wonderful shop with an incredible history. It has a wide range of products both modern and antique that are suitable for all budgets. The staff are very friendly. A visit here will give you both gifts and memories.
Medium-sized shop. Easy access from the Royal Mile, Edinburgh. Good for Harry Potter fans when it comes to merchandise and some good hardcopy books. You can also get the chocolate frogs edibles similar to those from the Harry Potter movies. Delicious and fun!
Very small shop with a lot of charm. I bought a beautiful copy of Little Women there. Friendly staff and great location in the colourful Victoria Street.
A fun little shop at the top of Victoria Street, find a fun array of vintage and new books, and some quirky antiques and replicas. Staff are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, also.
Definitely one of the coolest little bookshops in Scotland!
