That shop was the killer for our luggage . '3 for 2 on all manga'? Hell yeah! And I have to add, that we found one manga in your store, that I couldn't find for about a year. So, thank you very much and I wished your store was in my country
they don't have everything, and whatever's on the shelf is what they have. don't hold your breath to get the next volume of sailor moon here. otherwise, an overall cool vibe with unexpected extras like BTS plushies and diverse posters
FORBIDDEN means CLOSED. Yesterday Dec 26 closed 5pm. O.k. Today Dec 27 still closed 10am, although door sign says open 10am. Phone also forbidden it seems. Waited till 10:30 still closed and FORBIDDEN. Tomorrow Im back in Germany and I'll spend my £300,- somewhere else.
Quite a well packed shop inside. A lot of manga mini books and funko pop toys but a lack of serious collectibles unfortunately. A good selection of mainstream/currently fashionable graphic novels if thats your bag. Not a great selection of the earlier novels and "original" veins of work for me though.
I cannot praise the Manager Kally and her staff enough . I bought a Dragonball figure for my son only to find out Christmas Day that he already had it . I could not find the receipt anywhere . I contacted the store and was told to email. I swiftly had a reply from Kally and she arranged for me to exchange the item. As my son has Autism this helped so much to avoid any stress. Big Thankyou !
Great store for collectors, anime fans, manga fans, and comic book fans. They were a bit lacking in the card gaming department, though, which unfortunately was the reason i went there. Cool place to check out while youre walking around Edinburgh. Really cool stuff, but decently expensive for anything i thought was interesting
Love this place. Great selection of books and comics. Pretty much all you could want from a comic book store.
I hope you have a good time and if you like my reviews and photos, please click LIKE on my reviews!!! : Enjoy This is a really cool store, full of action and entertainment. I was waiting for the 37 bus and this store was right outside the bus stop. This is a great store to buy gifts for comic and anime fans. Enjoy
This was a last minute stop on our way back to the hotel as my partner loves collecting comics and action figures. It is a great addition to the city and in a good location pretty much in the centre which made it easy to access. We have visited a lot of Forbidden Planets and I would say this one felt a little dated and claustrophobic inside but this was made up for by probably one of the best ranges of comics inside that we have seen. I think if the place was set across 2 floors obviously not necessarily possible with comics on one and action figures on the other it wouldn't feel so tight and compacted. We did go at a fairly busy time as it was half term and the Jubilee week so it is probably quieter during the average weekday/other times. This did mean it was a little tight to traverse the aisles and I did feel like I was in the way on some occasions when browsing. There is a great range of comics and fairly decent amount of action figures for a fair price and we did manage to find a few products that were cheaper in store than they were online which we ended up purchasing. Checkout was quick and simple and we left happy. Overall, the store is in a great location with a decent range. We can't compare to other comic book stores in the city as we didn't visit any others but if were to return to the city we would definitely come back.
I've been to a few forbidden planet stores and this one is a bit disappointing. Not as big a collection as I'm used to. Not a lot of board games as well. The general vibe is still good and it's definitely still 'a geek store' which I love, but it's a bit underwhelming.
