Visited this pub on a Sunday afternoon. Initially it was quite busy, with only a couple of seats available, however it become quieter during the afternoon. Nice, relaxed vibe and dog friendly. Plenty of options on the menu and specials board. We went for the potted prawns and fish a chips - both were generous portions and very tasty. As expected, the local beer was very good. We would definitely visit again.
Great pub!! Has the mothership of Adnams beers on tap. Food was excellent. We had the baguettes, the bread was fresh and delicious! Surroundings are lovely, it’s a very popular place and seating was limited inside. A must visit if you can get a seat and are in the area.
Excellent fish and chips! They also serve a selection of beers, including bottled Adnams bitter and ghost ship, wines and beverages. Nice to sit outside in the February sunshine, by the harbour.
A busy pub, across the road from the lighthouse in Southwold, dogs are very welcome. A good lunch menu, well cooked and turned around quickly despite being busy. The half pint of prawns in the light bite menu and some really good choices of mains for all of us. A good selection of the local Adnams beer on tap made for a good afternoon. The staff were friendly and cheerful. We will return again after a good experience.
Very busy but they made space. Great quality food. Fab host! Great service. Our annual Southwold tradition got a step up in our opinion . Huge tasty portions and well value for money!!

Good selection of localadnams beers. Friendly service. I didn't eat there but the food looked good too.
Had evening meal there. Lovely pub and friendly staff. The food wasn’t hot enough and it could have been better. The vegetable curry was lukewarm and the chutney tasted very odd. The lamb dish wasn’t warm enough either and didn’t live up to its description. But the pub serves great beer and a good atmosphere. Food service was quick. Probably would go back and have the fish and chips which looked excellent.
Lovely place! Food is not that bad but the beer is kept very well! Recommended to anyone who is visiting the area to go in.
