Lovely pub with a great lineup of Adnams beers! We enjoyed are stop in a few years ago and looking to our return.
Love the Nelly, great beer,cozy fires and a big garden at the back, dog friendly. The food is nice too. Right by the seafront, a traditional pub.
Extremely popular traditional drinking pub in Southwold and it is easy to see why. Very near the front, so you can have a seaview if you want and provides a great range of Adnams gins and beers.
The quality of the Ales has dropped since I was last here before lockdown. Always a 'must visit' pub, but the Adnams Southwold & Old Ales were unbearably flat, despite being repoured in different glasses. Pipes not cleaned regularly methinks.
Warm with real fire on a cold Monday evening. Clean and tidy. Unfortunately No food on a Monday night. Nicely kept beer from local brewery.
Always love this place, nice ambiance and on coolish day a good fire and good beer, the only down side not for me Adnams have a tendency only to sell their own lagers which doesn't help the wife, otherwise a good old pub
