The weather had cooled from sone of the hottest days in August. We needed a good lunch following a terrific walk in not too far away Dunwich Forest. It was bar service. Good range of food. I went for the basil pesto fungi linguine.... generous potion and tasty. Also nice was Coke Zero on tap. Would definitely recommend.
Great pub at Southwold Harbour. Sat on the downstairs longe bar and had a very good lunch. Has outdoor space at the front and back with both having great views. A very dog friendly pub too!
Singularly the best fish finger sandwich I have ever had! A huge serving of fresh battered fish in the softest, freshest bread. It took some eating!
Lovely harbour side and next to the common for a walk back into town. Dog friendly, real pub feeling and great outdoor space. Lovely Lovely tempura battered haloumi and crushed minted peas
Most amazing fish finger sandwich! Freshly battered fish inside and a massive portion! The bottom half of the bar was cosy atmosphere, they have a wood burner , however wasn’t really roaring so did get cold, and was laughed off when we asked if they could do anything. Would recommend for food
Had been for a walk down the beach and around the harbour, popped in and had a look at the menu, there was a lovely wood fire so we ordered adnams beer battered fish and chips which were lovely, a nice latte and a pot of tea. All round a very pleasant experience.
We visited here on a very busy Saturday afternoon for food and a drink. There were still plenty of outdoor seating but getting an order in took more time than the food getting to our table. The food itself was great one meal, a prawn sandwich and chips, but the burger at £18 was a complete let down. It looked great but the burger which had great flavour was so dry. They could perhaps do with flattening slightly so it cooks quicker through without losing moisture. It also was missing the bacon jam, which only added to the dryness. Luckily a pint of wild wave washed it down. I'd avoid the burger and go back to fish and chips which always seems on the money.
Lovely staff. Food not brilliant. My cod was swimming in grease, so my salad sat in oil. Plenty of bones too. My daughter's was the same, albeit she had chips.
Situated at Southwold Harbour, this great pub has an inviting downstairs lounge bar that serves up delicious lunches. It boasts outdoor seating at both the front and back of the establishment that provides stunning views of the harbor. What's more, this pub is very dog-friendly!
Had a lovely afternoon celebrating our nephews 40th birthday meal .the portion sizes were very generous and the staff very friendly and helpful. If it wasn't a 2 and a half a half hour journey we would defeat go back .
