Stock squeezy things wasn’t out on the shelves but showing available online. The lovely lady who helped, from the baby department went out of her way and found them at the top of high shelves which involved climbing ladders to access them. The items were very low cost but something my grandsons wanted, she absolutely made their day.
I had a very disappointing experience at Smyths Toys recently. I asked an employee to help me look for a specific toy. He noticed a full box hidden on the top shelf and kindly brought a ladder to check it. While he was helping, the manager, Telisha, came over and was extremely rude to him. She snatched the box out of his hands, said “we don’t have time for this,” and walked away with it.nnAccording to the online stock checker, the store had 15+ units of the item I was looking for, yet none were on the shelves. This isn’t the first time the stock shows as available but nothing is put out. It genuinely feels like the manager keeps items hidden and chooses who she wants to serve, which is unacceptable in retail.nnThis experience was very upsetting, and I definitely won’t be returning to this store. It’s frustrating when you can’t even buy something for your own collection because the staff aren’t allowed to help properly.
My Partner and i went shopping for some bits in preperation for our first child. We were abit unsure on things and bumped into Lindsay who could not have been more helpful and caring. She spent 30 minutes demonstrating how the push chairs worked, the benefits of each option and answered every question we had. She made what could have a stressful purchase the most easy thing in the world. Lindsay is an absoulte credit to her role and we will definitley shop at Smyths Stockton again. Super Customer Service- thank you.
Ive just been this morning to change my sons drone because it wouldn't connect. The lad that helped i didnt get his name but he was absolutely brilliant he give me a brand new drone and replaced the batteries. I hope the manager sees this because hes a credit to your store. I was worried because I didn't have the box but he was brilliant just took it and tried to get it working. Thankyou for your help your customer service was tiptop!
I have always had a pleasant experience when I have been here the staff do a great job and always welcomingnThe photo I have posted today 1/6/26 is the chicken tikka parmo it was on the special board of the day and it was a great choice
