I can understand why high street stores are closing. I decided to click and collect from the Smyth toys Stockton store so I could nip in and straight out no hassle. But it would have been easier and quicker to have found and picked the product from the shelf myself. Couldn't find click and collect, I was told to wait at the back of the store near a warehouse entrance for someone who never arrived. Poor service and rude staff.

Smyth's at Portrack Lane Stockton, looking for a scooter for my grandson, never been here before but found it a great place for toys was amazed at the range they stock, staff were brilliant very polite, also stocked a lot of baby products. Will be coming back here for all my grandsons toys.

Had an awful experience with this store in portrack Stockton. My 1 year old daughter fell and bust her mouth and nose open and there was blood everywhere. I asked staff for help and a first aider. Staff failed to help and refused to even give me a tissue. I was forced to rush my daughter to hospital as her tooth was in her gum and when I’ve complained to staff for being unprofessional they have just tried to give me a gift voucher. I’ve had no response in how staff are trained and they have failed to answer me about thier health and safety policies. Absolutely disgusted in the way my daughter has been treated in what is supposed to be a company that is for children. Would not reccommend this store to anyone.

The shop itself is fine but I found the staff really rude. Every time I stopped to browse I found a member of staff waiting behind me to get where I was or stock a shelf. I appreciate they have jobs to do but there was no polite request for me to move, I just felt like I was in the way everywhere I turned. The only member of staff who was really pleasant and friendly was the American woman at the counter, she made up for the rest of the miserable and rude staff team.

Customer service is terrible especially when it comes to wanting a refund absolutely livid bring back toys r us!!!!!
