Beautiful Christmas lunch! And you won't go hungry! Even managed to squeeze us both in at the last minute, which we're hugely grateful for. Lovely staff, we made to feel tremendously welcome, will definitely return! 😀

Used this pub Oct 17. GREAT. well priced very good food & ale. Very friendly pub. Will I use again.. Ho YES.. Plus if your in a small camper they will let you over night in the rear car park, free as long as you eat and drink in the pub. (wish I know that before paying for camping)

Keith & staff very welcoming, attentive to all (even dogs) and hard working. Pub relaxed, mixing with locals, visitors and bikers alike with a good atmosphere. Garden tended well. The Smugglers has good range of wine, real ales & ciders, even gins. Food wholesome, simple & fresh. Recommend booking a table at weekends as can get very busy. Poor mobile signal but has WiFi. The toilets are in need of upgrade but having been there under 2 yrs are consistently working towards improving all areas. The rooms have already been updated to a very high standard. Captain's Suite makes an extra special stay at a great price for balcony with sea views. Very quiet area at night. Definitely recommended.

This is a seven out of five. Of the available choices in town, this dog friendly place attracts the local well to do, and has been 'built up from the ashes' by Keith, the owner, an experienced landlord of real ale fame. Not surprisingly, the owner is very generous in nature; he made us drink our excellent St Austell stout before topping the serving up - I'd asked for a top up. Garden has inflatables for the kids and the garden is huge. Food is generous, steak was a good cut of meat and cooked well. We've attached menus. the presentation is excellent. Accommodation is plentiful and elegant.
