Well what can I say I thought give them a chance after finding my car online!! I hadn't even called to say I was going down and find put if my car was still there I took a major gamble. A week on from buying it and a few days if concern but I had no real head stingers!!  I was told on the day of my visit it had no MOT and nit to worry it'd be all sorted for the day I requires it to be here. Unfortunately a part was needed and it wasn't possible to meet my deadline - It wasn't no fault of theirs either!! I didn't know how long I would be without my car but it was all sorted for the Friday if only we could of gone back to the car lot to pick it up but due to work commitments we weren't able. Monday delivery date came and nearly left but my car was delivered by bed time i have been out in it today I'm over the moon!  Not all car dealers are corrupt, not every car you buy isn't perfect thing in the used game varies, my mam had got a 2nd hand car from Arnold Clark.. its been nothing but a nightmare still sitting in the garage waiting to be fixed since March!! These lads aren't pushy or anything, I would be back to this company extremely happy with all aspects of my purchase

I read some of the reviews from here about Scott in particularly. This Man helped me out very well. His customer service was second to none and everything he said would happen in the process of buying this car he actually beat them, considering it was such a short time frame anyway. If you are looking at buying a car from SM CARS, I can assure you that you will be treated like your the only one buying a car from them. So if i doubt then hopefully this review helps... it was the best decision i made in a while.

I bought a car from S&M motors in July 22, excellent customer service, everything ready when expected. After 3 weeks the car seemed sluggish, rung the garage up, they checked it out,replaced the battery and starter motor within a week. Very professional  friendly service would recommend,  and use again.

I bought a car from hear a year ago now. I believed that the person who sold me the car was a friend at the time unfortunately clearly this was not true. Within 3 months of me taking the car the clutch snapped whilst I had my kids in the car. However as it is natural wear and tear i slightly understood however i still had to argue that it was them who needed to repair this as it was still under warranty. It has now come to me getting my mot for a new year however it turns out that the MOT center that this company use are clearly as dodgy as they are. As I have 14 major defects on my car that would of been there on the previous MOT but conveniently the car passed last year with no issues or advisories. To yo this off there has been patch work done on one of the suspension arms that make the car illegal and unroadworthy which had been done by SM motors over a year ago but this was not picked up in there MOT when I bought it this is absolutely disgusting and this company should be ashamed of itself. I should of known better when I purchased the car as the company is notorious round its area for selling dodgy cars to people but I believed that as I was supposed to be a friend this would not happen to me. I have reported this issue to trading standards and the MOT center they use to the DVSA due to the nature or the defects and illegal repair work been done to the car before it was purchased by myself. Everyone has there own views on what vehicles they wish to purchase I understand that but I highly recommend you steer as far clear from this dump as physically possible or you will end up in the same position as me if I could give this place minus stars I would I just hope they are closed before someone else gets ripped off

I bought a car last October turns out there is serious corrosion on the sub frame and alot of work needing doing underneath the car, I had nothing but problems from day 1 after the car wouldn't start due to a flat battery, all the electricals within the car has had issues. I tried to return within the dead line and they refused, don't buy from this dealership are if you do please do some thorough research on the vehicles and also who they take the vehicles too for mot!!! Customer service is appauling

I made a genuine inquiry about a car with a starting offer. His response was the most unprofessional I have come across. He responded with laughing emojis. If you want to deal with an adult, I suggest buying a car elsewhere

Mixed reviews really, took 3 months to sort oil leak as had to go back 4 times?  But to be fair they have sorted it just slowly..

Found a car we liked with a  few marks on scott had it all sorted plus a few extras, 3 rd car weve had off him highly recommend sm car sales

FALSE ADVERTISING STAY AWAY! Went to pick up the citroen C4 which is currently advertised, I've never been more disgusted.  First of all the car is covered in scratches inside and out, even though I had been assured over the phone that it was in immaculate condition.  The car had NOT been cleaned. There was what looked like dead skin ground deep into the drivers seat headrest. The car that had apparently just had a valet was filthy.  The covering on the front seats is hanging off exposing the foam inside. The back seat is ripped. Alloys hanging off. Body work dented.  Neither of the back windows go down and when i tried one the handle fell off!!!!! The other clearly doesn't go up fully and had been jammed with tissue to prevent rain from getting in!  The boot lining had a huge burn mark and the plastic inside had deep gouges. Lifting up the lining there was RUST and yet MORE RUST under the bonnet. Not sure what was going on under the bonnet, I had the same make and model before and it looked nothing like this!  These people are con artists. There was no explanation as to why the car was in this state when they knew I had travelled over 100miles after being told all checks, cleaning and servicing had been completed for me to drive away that day. They also tried to tell us a "full service" is just an oil change!!!!  They refused to accept responsibility and actually blamed another member of staff - Jamie, telling me they had had many complaints and were sacking him.  No doubt in my mind this car will have serious problems especially with the rust and they clearly can not be trusted as car sales men if they believe this standard is acceptable.  There were also other complications with them lending the car out to another customer delaying my pick up time despite my paper work already going through. The mileage had increased from what was advertised. And they tried to bump up the delivery fee from 150 to 200 depending who I spoke to!?  I will add they offered to fix the things pointed out but with no given time limit. All in all a terrible experience.
