At Skosh we serve food in the form of snacks and small plates, allowing you to have as little or as much as you want in a comfortable setting.

Story

Skosh started simply, as a word that represented a concept. It has evolved into a contemporary dining room in York serving uncomplicated yet refined food, matched with wines and beverages that are served in a comfortable and informal manner.

At Skosh we serve food in the form of snacks and small plates, allowing you to have as little or as much as you want, grazing as you go or, if you prefer, gradually served course by course to give you a complete dining experience.

Chef proprietor Neil Bentinck and his team of local tradesmen and designers reimagined the space of this Grade II listed building and arranged a bespoke dining room and open plan kitchen to open in May 2016.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. You can order anything from the menu and be guaranteed it will taste amazing. There was a very good range of vegetarian options as well which was lovely! Cannot recommend highly enough.
The reviews don't lie, this place is fantastic. They catered for dairy allergies incredibly well, tweaking the majority of courses to suit and all were unique and delicious! The brill ceviche was a particular highlight. Great service, relaxed atmosphere and a good wine selection, loved it.
This is the best meal I've ever had in Yorkshire. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable but not in any way snobby or intimidating. It looks like an expensive menu but once you realise the quality of ingredients and skill of the chef's you won't regret a penny
Beautiful food. Small plates. Order 3 or 4 each. The fried chicken, tandoori monkfish and lobster dumplings are a must! Hen's egg - iconic. Lovely service. Not a fussy place at all. Very relaxed. Definitely need to book well in advance. Rhubarb tea very tasty too

One of the best restaurants in York, fantastic food and great staff with a lovely atmosphere. They even have their own beer made in collaboration with Bad Co. A must for any food lovers in the city of York.
