Came just for drinks. Extremely welcoming, accommodating staff. Rigorous Covid protocols, delivered in a non-invasive, friendly way! The interior decor is tasteful and seasonal, with a large beer garden equipped for colder weather - a great place to come for a drink or quick bite before heading to the train station
Great little place. Stayed for 2 nights. Only sampled their breakfast which was just the thing to start the day. I've heard the evening meals are decent too. Definitely recommend
On a very busy Saturday we managed to get a table in the window. The staff were very good. Great range of drinks and the food was excellent. Trio of locally sourced sausages with plenty of mash and gravy with beans and carrots that were cooked perfectly. Well recommended.
Some staff were friendly, some were not. Food was great, wait was acceptable but not ideal. No gas in the heat lamps during the winter was a major buzzkill
Lush beer garden, right on the city wall. Pricy drink and small measures though, I had a prosecco and OH a large wine and it was nearly £13. Wouldn't have minded but my prosecco was only about 3 mouthfuls.
Went for lunch staff where great food lovely May even stay here next tome we visit York
Lovely fish and proper chips last week. Great friendly staff
