Ordered the 3 course menu fixed menu and it was a huuuuge amount of food! Also, the dishes were well presented and you could feel and see the care in each detail, although it was a fixed menu. Very taste and the staff was very friendly.

Really wonderful little spot! Very friendly staff, and the food was delicious! The mushroom risotto and lamb shepherds pie were so awesome and savory! Prices reasonable. Don’t be put off by the fact it’s in a basement or that it doesn’t seem busy—it’s a real gem and the best food we’ve had in York!

Great wee spot, food was spot on and good value. Lovely staff and service. Could do with a lick of paint, but would happily return for the excellent food.

I have visited this place several times, never been disappointed. Excellent food a very warm and pleasant atmosphere. The owners and staff are very pleasant.
