I want to visit here again as the seafood looks fab. We had tea for three which came in a huge brown Betty teapot. We had chocolate cake and orange. Be careful, we read that as a chocolate and orange cake. Thankfully we had a 17 year boy with us. The inside bit is fantastic, but I'd recommend sitting outside with a view of Skipness Castle. Check out the smoker just up the lane.

Myself and husband ordered the queen scallops and mussels and neither dish disappointed us. The scallops were grilled with a garlic and parsley oil complete with roe and they were honestly the best seafood dish I've ever tasted. We sat outside as the sun was breaking through the clouds, albeit intermittently, and the aroma could be smelled wafting from the kitchen. The mussels were outstanding with garlic, cream and onion sauce,a massive portion and good amount of sauce but would have been good to have been given bread as part of the dish but no big deal as you could order hot baguettes, which again were equally delicious. The owner was lovely and i regret not asking her name given i turned up in her drive the night before having took a wrong turn and I spent time chatting after we had our food. There is also a gorgeous and very friendly lone deer who just lays about on the grass having been hand reared and enjoys a cuddle and a good old neck rub. There is a castle, which we had a look around first with the earliest part dating back as far as the 13th century, which was amazing with spectacular views of Arran from the top. Really can't say anything other than if you're in the area or you're a seafood connoisseur and are prepared to travel any distance to sample the best seafood please please visit this amazing place.
