You might know Sifters because of the Oasis connection, but all you really need to know is that this decades old record shop has loads of vinyl and CD’s at reasonable prices rather than the silly prices you’ll find in most record shops. Mr “Sifter” is really pleasant and I love going here. Just got Joni Mitchell’s “Blue” album on CD for £2.99! Beat that
Brilliant retro record shop! A must-visit spot for Oasis fans. Iconic reference in the ‘Definitely Maybe’ album. A variety of vintage vinyl and CDs. Cheap prices. Small old-school structure, how it should be. Located in Burnage, home of the Gallagher brothers. Far from the city centre. Only go if you have the intention of purchasing. Independently owned. You know there is magic in you when your shop is a destination .. I was lucky enough to visit just in time to pick up some records for my teenagers birthday .. I will unashamedly ride the coat tales of mr sifter for the ten minutes of being cool again till he takes them to that moody teenage listening party I'm not invited to .
Stopped in as a tourist from America, as any Oasis fan/record collector would and it was such a wonderful experience. Mr. Sifter real name is Mr. Howard was such a sweet, gentle and delightful man, asking my friend and I where we’re from, telling us stories of his honeymoon and just casual conversation. His shop is very well organized and has a plethora of vintage posters of Manchester bands all throughout. Bought 4 records and 6 CDs for £40. Give this man your business. He’s a good man. Take care

A wee step back in time. A great little record shop still ran to this day by owner Pete Howard who is an absolute gent. Fantastic prices
Lovely nostalgic shop! Great selection of singles, vinyl and CDs. Would recommend to any collector or anyone who likes music! Peter, the owner, is a local treasure!
Pete told me wot he told me years ago when I asked him if he wanted to buy some cds he said I got loads of them in the back a nice guy but some of the stuff in his shop is years old why advertise to buy vinyls cds if he no intention to buy them why not just use wot he has got in stock not rocket science is is it very disappointed with his decision
A wonderful place to find CDs and vinyls, so many beautiful OASIS posters. MrSifter is no nice and cute! Long live!!
The owner was very friendly and chatty, even let me take a photo as I'm a keen Oasis fan. Also have a huge selection of vinyl and Cd's in which I obviously bought Oasis from Sifters even though I have them all haha.
