Extremely Disappointing Visit. Having not been to Shiremoor House Farm for around 3 years, we were eager to revisit and enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of disastrous. Upon arrival, we were vaguely directed towards our table with no real sense of welcome. We were then met with an incredibly long list of unavailable menu items, which was a huge disappointment. To make matters worse, the table was sticky, and the seats were covered in food remnants - clearly not cleaned to an acceptable standard. The service was equally appalling. Despite the pub not being overly busy, no one came to take our order. I queued at the bar to attempt to order, only to be told it was table service and someone would be over shortly. I returned to the table and waited... and waited... and waited. Completely fed up, we decided to leave. This was a truly disappointing experience. The lack of cleanliness, the extensive unavailable menu, and the non-existent service made for an incredibly frustrating visit. Based on this experience, we will definitely not be returning.
Food was lovely and the service was great. I especially recommend the fish platter. The Malbec was really good as well and very reasonably priced.Food: 4/5
Haven't been here for years but we popped in for some lunch yesterday. My partner had steak and chips, he said it was cooked to perfection, I had a southern fried chicken burger, it was huge, and our son had popcorn chicken and chips. We also had a biscoff cheesecake and chocolate brownies with raspberry ice Cream for dessert. Well worth the money. Staff are lovely and friendly too
Lovely converted farmhouse building, heating needs to be on earlier, too cold for us.This was mentioned to staff member and in fairness by the time we had second drink/food it did get warmer. Staff very helpful.Food: 3/5
I was there recently and had carrot and coriander soup, it tasted amazing. However when I went to eat the bread-bun it was very stale and then I realised there was mould on one of the butters. The waitress was very good and immediately went to change the bread to a stotty bun and provided more butter. I do think I should have been offered a refund because it really put me off the food.
My roast of the day sandwich was amazing, although I don't think it needed a Yorkshire pudding in it. Everything else was just right except there is an odd smell in the place when you walk in.Food: 4/5

First time visiting here and the place is beautiful inside, the menu varied and the food mostly fab. The roast meat sandwich with Yorkshire pudding was very nice. Had the yorkie been hot it would have been even better. The halloumi burger was very nice. The only meal that wasn't was the been with crispy noodles. It looked delicious, however the beef was very tough, and not nice to keep trying to eat, the chillies in abundance made it more abou the chillis than the meal and the noodles were not crispy at all, just normal noodles in the sauce. When we mentioned this to the staff they were lovely and removed the meal from the bill. We would go back.
Ordered three meals, quality was low for the price charged. None were finished due to one being burnt, another over spiced and one a bland mush. Dim lighting with bright and dusty exposed lighting everywhere making for an experience that was hard on the eyes.Food: 1/5
The building is lovely and staff are friendly and helpful. The food is hit and miss but quite pricey. Vegetarian options are after thoughts and quite bad. Meats options quite good and chunky chips were awesome. Vegetarian options: Not greats, vegan meatballs uncooked just heated up. Quorn sausages anemic. Parking: Parking fine, all free for customers Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps
