My family booked in advance for birthday celebration. We were seated together in the snug which was lovely...the manager was lovely. But we had to wait over an hour for the meal, the young man who served us brought the meals but no cutlery. We had to sit with meals in front of us for a good 5-10 minutes more, while he went and got knives and forks. Some were dirty with dried food on them so we had to wait again while he graciously changed them. Needless to say, our meals were really cold. Also very greasy. We left more than we ate. We did complain and was refunded £22, not much seeing as there was 8 of us in the party! So disappointed that my granddaughters 21st birthday meal was ruined. Have been here many times in the past and always been lovely.. but really don't know what has happened. Unfortunately we won't be going here again.

Been here a number of times & always enjoyed the visit, but not today!!! Had to wait a hour for steak & chips & burger & chips & then it was only warm! With no apology!!! Only one member of staff behind bar so customers were having to wait, ordered apple pie & ice cream & got apple pie & custard & the caramel cheese cake dome was frozen/ solid inside, very disappointed & I know we weren’t the only ones that were unhappy, couldn’t be bothered to complain at the time as we had already waisted too much time, won’t be going back!!!

Partner went to lunch only people there.. At the time, ordered drinks then had to sit and wait for an hour for the food, baring in mind pub was empty. Food finally arrives, chips stone cold and salad had seen better days, to top it off I had ordered a New York deli sandwich which anyone knows comes with pastrami mustard, mayo. It arrived with just cheese, lettuce and gherkins. I sent it back, the chips I had ordered were the wrong ones too. When I finally got it back with the pastrami in, it was soaked in Coleman’s mustard, which was unbearable to eat as so hot. What a total disappointment. Shall not be returning which is a shame as pub is lovely since it’s refurb but has gone down hill ..

staff are rude and look unhappy in there job. Menu was limited and most of that they had run out off. waited an hour for food that was something my daughter could have cooked. There's a reason why they allow dogs think they would be more best suited for the standard of the food

We had a very good meal at the ship. Particularly good was the italian grandmothers lentil soup. absolutely delicious.
