Staff were great. Very helpful. NHS discount available if you ask. Screens inside and out. Shows the football. Nice back seating area.
Lovely place to dine in, staff was helpful and friendly, not the biggest food menu but the food they do have is tasty indeed. Outside garden for anyone looking to have a meal or drink in the fresh air, drink choice is decent. Would come again, definitely recommended. Atmosphere was pleasant, not too loud or too quiet. Overall a good experience compared to some other pubs around the area.
Food was okay.. didn't like the food served on wooden boards.. I will be going again to try the Sunday roast.. Be nice to see a lick of paint on the walls.. Parking on site,
Food was really nice, we all shared the roast platter. The whole experience was very rushed though, we barely had chance to look at the menus and the food came out within about 5 minutes of ordering. Despite booking and paying a deposit we were on quite a small table so it was a bit of a squash. If I went again I wouldn't get the platter, however the pub atmosphere was really nice and as I say the food was good.
A lovely little pub, beautiful atmosphere and amazing interior. The food was absolutely delicious, we went on the Sunday Roast day, one of the best roast dinners ever! The potatoes and gravy especially were stunning and the meat was tender and succulent. The staff as well were really polite and we didn't ahve to wait long even though it was quite busy. Would recommend to anyone passing through the area!
This is a really pleasant civilised pub with beer garden decorated with a seafaring theme. This is an establishment that has maintained table service since lifting of lockdown regulations so there is no quiueing at the bar & allows for those whom wish to maintain social distancing. The staff are friendly, helpful & attentive so service is pleasant and prompt.
One of the best places I have eaten in. Staff attentive food delicious. Will definitely be eating here again. Do not like to make recommendations but I feel I have to highly recommend. Perhaps I should keep it to myself!
Top class venue for my girls' holy communion. Food is excellent, gold buffet menu, the ribs and chicken wings are delicious. Vic and Loz couldn't do enough for us. Lovely day!
Appalling!!!.. unfriendly ignorant blonde 'girl' behind bar refused to serve me a 'Brandy with a bottle of coke in a gin glass'. And banged a 'school dinner glass' on the bar. When I asked why I could not have a gin glass she said "not allowed"and turned her back on me. My friend , who knows the manager/owner, finished his beer and we left. No wonder this pub is so quiet on a Friday night with rude ignorant bar staff like that!!!. DISGUSTING!!!!.
Lovely local pub with plenty of character. Serves alcohol free Moretti
