A most welcoming pub. A family member used to come here every Friday night many moons ago. We went yesterday to play darts in the afternoon, had a great time and enjoyed chatting with the locals and the management Jodie. Will be going back again definitely.
What is there not to like!! Warm welcome, great choice of beers, friendly people, just a lovely pub. I'd not been in here since I was in my twenties 40 years ago then suddenly found myself walking past a few months back, called in and instantly fell in love with the place. I visit on a regular basis now travelling some 6 miles from where I live, it's well worth the effort.
Brilliant pub and a great start to my first visit to the Wirral. Friendly staff and cleintele, the Irish night musicians were excellent, and best of all, Woodfordes Norfolk Brewery Wherry on tap, which is always nice to see as a Norfolk boy living up north! I'd definitely visit again.
Great pub with some excellent beers. Delightful staff.
Lovely little pub in Hoylake! Round the corner from the absolutely beautiful beach and prom and also right in the heart of Hoylake being a ten minute walk from the station! We had beautiful weather and sat in the beer garden for a few, very reasonable prices and really friendly staff! They have a huge beer garden and outdoor space with cover from the rain and a large selection of beers and drinks Definitely recommend if you're passing through as a local, a family, a pub visitor or a cyclist passing through on a lovely ride!
Great outside setting. Other customers seem friendly and welcoming. Would happily visit with friends or even solo
This pub must be in top 5 best pubs in and around Hoylake area in my personal perspective, the atmosphere is amazing, staff are well friendly and helpful, couldn't ask more from them, they are well lush, the people I've had the chance to encounter are amazing as well, overall this pub and the fact that it goes back in the day gives me a unique feeling. I love this place and I recommend it to anyone that's looking for chilling and having a good time, whether passing by the area or local. Love y'all All the best
It is my favourite pub. I always receive a warm welcome from Jodie the bar maid. She is excellent at her job. The beer is always good and due to the décor and pictures on the wall, it is an interesting, homely and traditional place in which to relax.
Local pub , with great service and a warm atmosphere
Good small cosy pub for the locals.
