The shepherds house is one of the pubs that I keep coming back too. The food has been consistently good and the staff are very helpful. I don't think everything is as fresh as it used to be which is why it is a star down but still well with a visit. I will be going back as a safe place to get a good meal at a reasonable price. Food price is about the same as a Harvester but quality is much better.

A nice atmosphere, very helpful staff and tasty food. My sons and I went on a Saturday evening without booking, and they found us a good table. That may not be possible later on, though. We all had burgers which were well cooked and filling. Puddings were generous and there was a good selection. The were a couple of families with younger children but it seemed to be mainly adults eating. We've been a couple of times and would recommend it.

Had a family dinner at Shepherd House. Well served by cheerful girl. Enjoyed the well cooked dinner.

Best food I've had eating out for as long as I remember. The staff were courteous and friendly. You should try it.

Highly recommend, excellent friendly service and food is always of high standard. Has a wide variety of choice too.
