Booked to see Romesh. Only 4 rows from the front!!!! The ceiling in this place is BEAUTIFUL! The staff had an AMAZING system to get people in, drinks served and seated in a very quick and efficient time. The venue was warm inside. We could hear Romesh perfectly. A very good night!!!
It was my first visit to this venue, I went with the family to see tribute act Killer Queen and had a great night. The venue itself is very good, clean and welcoming, although there was a long queue for the toilets even the gents! but you knid of expect it with these venues. Well done City Hall doe booking a great act
Went to see Simon Brodkin, had a great time. Venue wasn't too overcrowded & prices for drinks etc were pretty reasonable.
Purchased some seats with restricted viewing. An older gentleman who was on security asked us if we would like to move to some better seats, so we did. During the interval he came and found us and said I've got some better seats for you follow me. He really went out of his way and we can't praise him enough. Thank you.
Fabulous historic building in the heart of Sheffield. Wonderful acoustics and surprisingly comfortable seating. Here's a little history: Sheffield City Hall is a Grade II* listed building[1] in Sheffield, England in Barker's Pool, one of the city's central squares. It was built and is owned by Sheffield City Council but is now managed by the Sheffield City Trust, under a 99-year lease and is operated by Sheffield International Venues as a venue for concerts and other events in its various rooms
Staff were helpful when arriving at curtain up time. Wonderful venue. Spacious seating and a very handsome building. Comfortable for the performance and for getting around.
Great venue for concerts etc went to see the rat pack fabulous. Hopefully next tome they will open up the circles
I’ve enjoyed coming to see music and comedy shows here since the 1990s. The most recent visits March 2024 have been to see OMD and The Fast Show which were fantastic. Seats in the stalls and balcony generally have good views, but always best to check when booking. The sound system is excellent when it needs to be esp. in the case of OMD - but not sure if that's because they add their own kit to the mix. The process of getting tickets checked and signposting to seating seems to go quite well. If anyone has viewed my profile and other reviews, they may notice I usually comment on food and drink. Well, I can finally make such a comment about this place. Here we go... THE BARS NOW SELL PERONI GLUTEN FREE! Yes, it took them a while, but now I can enjoy a beer when I attend a gig just like everyone else. I was so taken aback when I saw it, I had to take a picture of the fridge, to the total bemusement of the bar staff... Well, when you're coeliac you must make the most of what's offered and share the good news!
Nothing special I've got to say. Looks the part from outside but honestly its just a small theater and staff just kept telling ppl to be quite which was surprising because we were at a comedy show with adequate speakers to hear what was being said from the performer's. ie "Keith Lemon" Bo Selecta
Went to see Steve Backshall talking about sea mammals and squid and things for a family day out. Steve was great. As was the city hall. Never been before live in another city, stunning exterior and interior, staff really pleasant, facility felt really clean and loved. We got last minute tickets for the show, so our seats were marked up as "obstructed view", but the view was great, you just had to sit with a slight turn on your head. Even the snacks were good too, easy service, bottle of Fanta, half a lager and a little pot of pringles for £6.. in 2023 that feels very reasonable. Would happily come back and see other events here
