Really great venue. First time for me. The sound was particularly good. I would say the space is just about right for getting a good sound. Bar was well staffed and toilets were clean with plenty of soap. We watched Dodgy play Free Peace Sweet in full and they smashed it.Service: 5/5
Came to see Dreadzone Vs The Orb here. Dreadzone were ace! Club was fine, security were friendly and easygoing....great night. As always with nightclubs, I wish there was food!! Food: 1/5
Great customer service from Marina and a new member of staff at the door. My wife and I very much appreciated the assistance with a chair as osteoporosis means it's very difficult for her to stand. When the first chair wasn't suitable, Marina gave great service by finding a lower one. Really, I should have given the Leadmill advance notice but one always thinks "it'll be right." Next time I will email the Leadmill or any other venue before ordering tickets. Friendly bar staff too. All areas clean and welcoming. Thank you for being the difference between a difficult experience and a delightful one for us.
We visited from Warwickshire. Love this venue! I’ve been twice - once to see Paulo Nutini and last night to see Catherine Bohart comedian. Acoustics for music is really good. Perfect size and good views from all around. After the gig it turned into an indie club night which was also fab! Then comedy - a fully seated room and it worked so well. We sat front row and had a blast. I love the externals of the building. Also the entrance area is so good feels like you’re entering something special. Service in the bars has been great both times. I often tell people to visit and experience this iconic venue. Keep going Lead Mill!
Saw Feeder, it was packed, great energy, amazing music. There is a room off to the side with a bar and toilets.Service: 4/5
Great venue for a gig, clean, friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Only a few minutes walk from Sheffield train station so nice and easy to get to.Service: 5/5
Iconic nightclub for a great night out. Has 2 rooms which allows them to play different music genres.Atmosphere: 5/5
Went to see a live comedy show also excellent the venue is fully wheelchair accessible, they have an access entry before they let everyone else in so you can be safely situated without having to worry about trips, falls or wheeling into someone who didn't see you. They provide carer tickets for free if you show appropriate proof of disability before hand. The wheelchair friendly toilet has a radar key lock and as a result is clean and was empty each time I needed to use it. It was kept clean, dry, and tidy, was big enough just for my powerchair which is surprisingly rare at venues, had plenty of soap and loo roll and didn't smell bad. The bar area was also accessible, although a little tall for my preference. The venue is on the cool side so if you have temperature regulation issues take a few extra layers or a blanket. They don't have their own parking, although on street parking may be available on quiter evenings, I attended on Sunday and was able to park my WAV a bit down the street, but allow yourself time in case you need to find alternate parking, better to be early than late. I did pay for parking, it cost £3 but after 8.30pm it's free. Other disabled patrons I spoke too, while waiting for access priority entry, were regulars and were also very pleased with the accessibility options. The staff are friendly and helpful. Some items are listed on the walls behind the bar, chilled bottled water is available as an option, price wise slightly cheaper than average for a venue. Alcohol was available for those who wanted it. All hard flooring, all ramped and again surprisingly clean for a venue, no sticky floors to be found here. Seating for those who need it was adequately comfortable and flexible enough to make room for a wheelchair, and didn't make noise. There was plenty of space to move around and maneuver my powerchair, it would be accessible for rear wheel power chairs as well, although the toilet may be slightly on the small side if you use a rear wheel drive powerchair. As venue's go this one gets an A* from me, as I didn't notice any access issues whilst I was there. I appreciate every disabled person's needs will be different so if I didn't cover your needs please email the venue they were really responsive when I emailed them, and more than happy to clarify details I was unclear on. Wheelchair accessibility: See main review, pretty excellent accessibility for wheelchairs. Parking not guaranteed. Radar key lock on disabled bathroom, good for average sized chairs but bathroom may be small for rear wheel drive power chairs.
Great little venue! Decent price for drinks toService: 5/5
Is there a better music place in Sheffield? I think not. Been so many times to this venue - staff excellent, atmosphere amazing and its so easy to get to / from - a mecca of a venue to go to if you have not been. Monday night was the latest visit to see the 'man' Gary Numan... sound spot on, lights amazing and the crowd was in great spirits. Talked to a number of people some new to the venue and some new to Numan..... all loved the venue and the show. Long may this keep on in its current form and I hope I have years more of coming to see my fav bands at this wonderful venue!
