Friendly hosts with 2 lovely rooms, our main room has the bedroom, good sized en-suite with bath and shower and your own sitting room with sofa (converts to a bed - suitable for child, teenager or adult), TV/DVD player, dining table, microwave oven and cutlery/crockery etc. You also have your own lockable door giving you direct access from the sitting room to your car and to the outside sitting area and garden.

The second bedroom includes basin, and has access to separate private bathroom.

We are open all year and are in a brilliant location on the coast, enjoying wonderful mountain and estuary views. The coastal train station is just 7 minutes walk from the house.
Two friendly dogs live in the house too, as you can see from the photographs. The house itself is located at Llandecwyn, between Harlech and Porthmadog on the west Wales coast. Each room has Freeview TV and a reasonably fast WiFi facility is available at no extra cost.
Llandecwyn is a very small community but there are very good eateries in the area. Out of the holiday season the roads are quiet and the beaches empty. If photography is your thing, you'll be spoilt for choice. Local steam railways abound in the area, look at Porthmadog online for a feast of all things locomotive and steamy! Mountain climbing, backpacking, hill walking, cycling, mountain biking, high ropes courses, white water rafting, slate museums - all in the area and guaranteed to keep you busy.... The new Wales Coastal Path passes within 100 yards of our front door!

PLEASE NOTE: Our minimum stay period is 2 consecutive nights.

Guest Access

The accommodation should provide you with sufficient space to spread out, however, the garden is yours to enjoy as well. You are welcome to bring take-aways back to the house and your microwave oven will heat suitable ready meals too.

Interaction with Guests

If you don't want to chat, you don't have to - but we love to hear what our guests have been up to. You are welcome to sit around the log fire with us in the winter or relax with a drink in the conservatory.

The Neighbourhood

Our home is on the coast and within the Snowdonia National Park,
Enjoy huge beaches, mountains and country walks ranging from a good plod to extremely demanding.
The roads in this part of the country are among the best I've seen and a great playground for Motorcyclists. As a biker myself (R1200GS Adventure) I can recommend great places to ride to and visit, Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales and is 20 minutes away by car. If you don't want to climb it - take the train! (NOTE: during holiday season book the Snowdon train online at least 3 days before you want to ride! It is very popular!)

Getting Around

Generally, you are better off having your own transport and with the amount of places to visit, it can be difficult if you rely on public transport. Having said that the bus stops at the bottom of our road and the coastal train station at Llandecwyn is a 7 minute walk away. All the routes and timetables are online and you are welcome to use our laptop or your own device to check route details.

Other Things to Note

Please let us know in advance if there are any things we can arrange for you, booking tables at restaurants etc. Also, any special dietary requirements that we may need to shop specifically for. Porthmadog has one of the best Vegan food shops in the country, which is handy!

Sometimes we unexpectedly encounter a Gem. This is one. Tainia & Graham strike the perfect balance in hospitality : friendliness, great food, cleanliness, lovely room, knowledgeable interesting conversation, & good value - all in a very beautiful village. Their home is full of personal thoughtful touches - from beautiful home-made marmalade to a garden that’s full of surprise. I was lost when I first made contact(!), and they could not have been more helpful, firstly seeking accommodation for me - nearer to where I was located, and failing that, not stopping till they literally directed me all the way safely to their door!

I have stayed with Graham & Tainia twice now, once in April 2014 and more recently in August 2017, both times for a wedding at Portmeirion as they are so close by. They are amazing hosts; very welcoming and easy going, and have perfected the art of being around should you need anything whilst giving you privacy. Every detail has been considered; an abundance of towels and white robes for you to use, tea, buscuits and fresh milk and bottle water in the room, and toilettries in the bathroom. Graham knocks up a mean cooked breakfast, and they cater for all diets, including vegan and gluten free. Breakfast also consists of every conceivable kind of tea you can think of, fresh brewed coffee, about 10 different cereals..... all enjoyed in their light conservatory. Add to this their gorgeous, friendly dog Pearl, and you have a perfect home from home. I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else if I'm ever in the area again. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Such a lovely stay at the seaside b&b. I was at festival no.6 and was very keen to get out of the mud and have a bed, Graham & Tainia were such amazing hosts, full English cooked for me for breakfast. Tainia even lent me her Wellington boots and drove me to the festival when I couldn't book a taxi. Both such kind people. Very comfortable stay with stunning views from the garden. Really really recommend this b&b for comfort and such a friendly house hold :) definitely will visit again if I'm back in the beautiful area! 5 STARS!!! Thank you both :)
