Had a wonderful welcome and stay had a evening meal lasagne was delicious and a full welsh breakfast Thank you to sam and the rest of the staff for a lovely stay I would recommend the black lion to everyone

Went there for Monmore my stepmother's 50th birthday Saturday night I have the rib eye steak medium rare with chips the state was quite nice but the chips was over over cooked or cold the service is good it is a nice little pub in a nice little Welsh town

Lovely outlook from the garden and the restaurant window. The garden has sun all day and evening- which is a definite bonus. All members of my party ate cod and chips - and all enjoyed - fresh tender fish, crispy batter, minted peas and home made tartar sauce - lovely staff and a buzzing atmosphere. Dylan would be pleased- even though the hotel has changed the old bar😊
