Gwesty Cymru Hotel & Restaurant

Oh my. Popped into this place just on the off chance of a table, and they fitted us in. We only had a main course each and a glass of wine. The beef fell apart as the knife approached it and had an amazing reduced gravy that exploded with taste. Probably has a posh name like a jus, but never mind. My steak was awesome and the blue cheese sauce was fabulously creamy with a gentle blue flavour which balanced nicely with the meat. The salad had a lively dressing of balsamic vinegar, basil and white grain mustard, sweet but with an edge. So, highly recommended and a must do restaurant.

Enjoyed excellent lunch here recently. Food was delicious and service was attentive. Would recommend.

We were staying at another hotel but had dinner here and the food was delicious! we would recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly.

Excellent food. Lovely room (No.6 looking over the sea) only let down by the hot water not really being hot enough. Nice staff. Only real issue with the hotel is the lack of parking. We arrived late morning on a busy Saturday and had to park 1km away Aberystwyth has a particular problem with lack of parking spaces. We would recommend Gwesty Cymru and will come again
