I wanted to give my own experience of Samuel and Co...and it's quite clear, from all of the other reviews that I'm not the only person who has had to deal with their shocking company! There is no honesty, empathy or professionalism from anyone at this agents. They will look down their noses at you and quite frankly not give 2 craps if you and your child will end up without a home because of their ridiculous rent increases! Samuel and Co took over the property that I'd lived in for 6 yearsnow 8 after my old landlord sold to a new landlord and the agents was swapped to Samuel and Co...I was told by a representative for Samuel and Co that everything would carry on the same just that Samuel's would now be managing the property. My first problem arose when a blind that was in the property when I moved in, fitted and provided by the previous landlord fell down and needed to be replaced. I was told that as it was left as a "gift" from the previous landlord, that it was MY responsibility. Why would I be responsible for something I did not pay for? Surely if it was left as a gift it would be to the owner of the property?! Anyway...fast forward to about a month or so ago, again the washer that was in the property when I moved in 8 years ago may I add also again provided by the previous landlord and included within my rent every month broke. I reported this issue to them to yet again be told it was left as a gift from the previous landlord and was again not their responsibility. It seems nothing is their responsibility? All that is their responsibility is getting as much money out of tenants as possible! I replied to the email telling me that it was my job to fix or replace the washer, by expressing my frustration and stated that I thought the company was a shambles as they expected me to fix or replace an item I did not pay for! Frustrating that all these rent increases of over £100 again yet jobs I was reporting was not getting done! I was then sent a very nasty, personal email attacking and judging me!...saying "the fact that you expect your landlord to provide you with a white good is more of a reflection on you than our company" insinuating that I wanted my landlord to buy me a white good! Where and when in my report did I ask for my landlord for any white goods? My problem was, I was not paying to repair or remove a white good that is nothing to do with me! The way the staff speak to tenants is absolutely disgusting and the toll the company and the stress they have caused has significantly had an impact on my mental health and anxiety! Even when I stated how worried I was that I wouldn't be able to afford the rent increase with it being just me on my own providing for a child, they really didn't care if we ended up on the streets! I have made the property my home and my previous landlord and agents were amazing, nothing was ever too much. Not even a phone call. But with Samuel and Co everything is too much to ask for unless they're getting money out of it. Horrendous experience and I wouldn't wish anyone else to have to go through this especially if you're a single parent like myself please avoid and please don't believe the lies they tell on the property descriptions because they have put my property on zoopla stating it's newly decorated...it's not! Not been decorated since I did in 5 years ago...bathroom apparently finished to a high standard, lived there 8 years and is the most basic bathroom...lies lies and more lies.
The absolute worst estate agents I’ve ever dealt with. Staff are extremely rude, they never get back to you, they barely answer the phone on the letting department. Their properties are bottom of the barrel. And once again no one give you a shred of respect on a phone call, appalling to deal with stay clear.
Their services are so fast and easy, no hidden charges. Anna helped us save so much time and she even payed for our parking. Thank you Samuel and co
Absolutely the worst agent you have to deal with. They don’t even pick up their phones , the service is just horrible
To the people thinking about renting a property from Samuel & Co. They are very unscrupulous and will do their best to rip you off and do you over at every corner. From trying to charge fees that have been banned, to letting themselves into your home when they feel like it. It's no wonder people hate estate agents with people like this. Please be careful.
Wonderful experience with Aleemsince2022march .Excellent person to get support and advice for renting .As an overseas me and my friends we struggled to get home .It was Aleem gesture and great support we got the house .thank you Aleem.hence I stayed in the property for two years .excellent Aleem .thank you
Worst agency ever!! Emma mullin was very rude to me. She even hang up the phone and told me go to another agency..
Absolute shambles of a business! I made an appointment to view property after ringing constantly for hours. Then was told 24hrs before appointment a message will be sent. Nothing arrived. Then I rang again on the appointment day, NO ONE PICKS UP FOR A LONG TIME! then finally someone answers and says confirmed. Went to the appointment at the time stated and NO AGENT WAS THERE!. REPLY BACK - THE PROPERTY WAS FOUND AND WE WERE STANDING OUTSIDE THE PROPERTY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO COME, NO ESTATE AGENT ARRIVED. WILL NOT BOTHER RINGING YOU AGAIN EVEN IF YOU HAVE A PROPERTY I AM INTERESTED IN, I WILL PASS.
Worst letting agents to be with! They pressure you into paying more rent they pressure you into days you cannot be in to be in and to letting themselves into your home when they feel like it. They are spiteful agents and just after money they don’t care about what has happened in your life they have no conscience to put 3 young children homeless like I said there just after more money Ridiculous agents!!!
slum landlords DO NOT RENT THE 1 BATHSTREET FLATS THERES HOMELESS DRUG USERS IN THE STAIR WELLS AND HUMAN WASTE IN THE HALLWAYS
