We came in today Sunday 1st April 2018 and was greeted and took to a table with menus... A few minutes later a young assistant with brown/black hair half up in a ponytail asked us if we wanted a drink both me and my husband wanted a latte I was just about to say.. And to give the lady in question our meal order.. But she didn't seem interested on taking order of anything else other than the drinks she then disappeared to the counter which we thought was to sort our drinks order the next thing she's cleaning tables taking drinks down to other customers and then deserts three songs had played on the radio as I said to my husband is it me or is the service not happening my husband agreed more customers entered the diner the girl then started cleaning a table for them and whilst this was happening the lady with tight blonde curling hair walked down with another desert for someone else she then walked back towards us me thinking she was going to approuche and instead just carried on walking by I tried to get her attention but she didn't hang around and smiled at this point 20minutes after giving an order for two lattes and being ignored we decided to leave as our custom was obviously not wanted I didn't want to cause a scene whilst there and as it was obvious that the service wasn't there for us we didn't see the point you lost a £30 sale because you ignored us you can't even make an excuse of it was busy as for tables was cleaned whilst us waiting and no one was waiting for them as a local I find your service today appalling I only hope by writing this that you will be able to improve... Me and my husband will not be recommending you to any of our family and friends. Their reply...... Hi Emma! I apologise for the slow service today, I am the manager and was actually on shift today all though i didn’t actually get to see you guys due to us being so busy! There was not one point today where we didn’t have people waiting by the door or by the bar to sit down, so cleaning tables as quickly as possible is actually very important.. else we can’t move to get to any other customers in the restaurant! I spent majority of my morning with a massive queue of drinks including lots of coffees as you can imagine is to be expected on Easter Sunday. Our staff have been rushing around like maniacs all weekend which is why she rushed off to put your drinks order through before waiting for your food order I apologise about this! Whilst as you saw, the waitresses where rushing around with a busy restaurant It was actually me that was making coffees behind the scenes, including yours! As you may have spotted there was a large family of 8 stood directly in front of the bar waiting for a table to be cleaned so that they could sit down, so I was politely waiting for them to move out of my way whilst I was actually on my way to you with coffees when you walked out the door! I apologise that you felt ignored and where left waiting, but we where incredibly busy and have been rushed off our feet for the last three days. I was worried when I saw you leave that perhaps your coffees had been moved down the line and you had been waiting longer than everyone else, so I did in fact check the times on the tickets and speak to my staff straight away. It had been exactly 11 minutes from the moment I received your order to the moment you left, which I believe is too long to wait for two lattes, but unfortunately with such a busy restaurant and a big queue of coffees, which you can understand take longer to make than a glass of coke, is unfortunately not surprising! As always I appreciate any sort of feedback, I will definitely speak to my staff and make sure that even when busy they’re not rushing past people. Great atmosphere and friendly staff but don't come here for tasty food. Chowder was luke warm on my first visit, and today I had moules frites and they were flavourless. Burgers were dry. Fries overcooked. Not sure we'll give this place another try.

Sam's deluxe double meat with Jack cheese & bacon, and proper fries. Great flavour and crisp fries too. Was very good first meal at this Sam's location.

Really happy with anywhere with a vegan option - their vegan hot dog with sweet potato fries was definitely worth the visit. :)
