A beautiful building (with free parking and entry) which houses an interesting art gallery. The Victorian street is amusing - especially with the dress up aspect- but could be expanded as you can look around it in a couple of minutes. It would be a nice addition if you could enter the shops or if there were more interactive features. Overall it is a nice place to spend an hour to have a tea in the cafe and view the exhibits.

Very helpful staff. Victorian St a delight. Coronation St information display very interesting as was the Pilkington one. Some nice works of art too. Kids can get involved, dressup; worksheets etc. Good for a couple of hours.

Great little at gallery and café. Brilliant street museum. A must if you are in Salford. Savage government cuts mean you have to watch opening times.

I absolutely love this place and as a childminder I visit frequently with my minded children. Today we visited and during the video display which was labelled adult supervision there was explicit scenes of naked sexual intercourse. In graphic detail. I had 5 young children and another childminder with me had 6 and there was also another parent in there with 1 small child. Needless to say we exited very sharpish...red faced and having to answer lots of uncomfortable questions. I also had to explain to the parent of my minded children about the incident which left me feeling very unprofessional. I really hate to leave bad feedback for this museum.as otherwise we really enjoyed our visit...like always! However I think the description outside the video booth should state that it is of a sexual nature in parts with nudity. Explicit even! Sorry Salford art museum.....a big mistake this one!!
