I've never had a bad experience at this supermarket. Staff are friendly and helpful. The garage can get busy and despite three members of staff on there was only one on the till with a long que, otherwise no complaints. With a BONUS Argos within the store.
This has been my main supermarket for 2 years now. Yesterday I had my first issue which was that the sauce I bought in my previous trip was out of date upon purchase. The staff were excellent- offered a replacement no fuss and when it was sold out offered alternatives. I was worried on taking it without paying would cause an issue at checkout but it was well communicated to me and the checkout what was happening. I felt respected and grateful for the speed and simplicity of the fix. Sorry I didn’t get any names of the staff involved but they were all brilliant.
Sainsbury’s have definitely gone downhill. I did a largish shop and all manned checkouts were closed leaving only the self checkouts.nnTook me nearly 15 minutes to check out and had to call staff 5 times for weight checks, price checks, age verification. Staff did what they could but if Sainsbury’s are forcing people to use self checkouts even for large shops, they need to stop with all these checks and take the risk of trusting customers to scan their shopping with no staff input.nnWon’t be coming here for any large shops. Small shops is probably ok.
Great service. First time visit for lunch and won't be the last! Sat outside on the decking. Great views of ships in and out of the harbour
I only go to the Fareham Sainsbury's if it's on my way home. The reason I'm giving it two stars is because I've seen food on the shelf that SHOULD clearly be in the bin, I had to get a supervisor and pointed it out so someone isn't doing their job properly the pictures were taken a month apart so the person that thinks it's okay to reduce items in such poor condition hasn't been spoken to or just doesn't care. As you can see it's clearly inedible so why reduce it.
