Popped in for breakfast was told 15-20 min wait 35 mins later still waiting so cancelled order got refund. Lady doing coffee miserable although lady on till understanding and polite. Either get more staff at busy times or do not accept orders.
While the staff are wonderful, the coffee staff is woefully stretched . The queue for only drinks has to wait, while others are ordering their food. So if possble, could some more counter staff be made available, especially lunchtime. Value for money, greatservice, great staff. Shame the management seem to have ignored the staff
I don't know what happened with the chief of this cafe, but for the last three times the food particularly bigger breakfast has been horrid! The sausages were cooked to the colour of charcoal along with hash browns, which were dark brown and i almost broke my teeth trying to bite them.
Stopped at Sainsbury's Newhaven on our way to catch morning ferry to Dieppe. Noticed the cafe so decided to have a bite as the ferry food is somewhat disappointing! Went for the Egg and Bacon breakfast, Freshly cooked, 2 rashers, 2 eggs and toast for an incredible £3.00..... Staff were very nice. We take this ferry quite often, won't be taking breakfast on board any more. Well Done Sainsbury's !!!
They do good hot drinks, snacks and limited choice of meals but suffer from lack of staff. This is a major problem that the management seem to ignore. It has been going on for some time now and the wait for meals and service is getting longer.
My friends wanted lunch so decided to go to Sainsbury's Cafe instead of McDs or KFC. I was really excited while I was queuing as they have Christmas roast turkey dinner, hot turkey baguette as well as the usual items. To my disappointment, none of that was available except for Ham, egg and chips, lasagna, tikka and macaroni cheese which was written on a piece of paper. Since we were all there, I ordered the mac n cheese which they said would take half an hour so we ended up only having tea. Overall very disappointed because they only had 4 staff that day. I don't know when I will even get another chance to go to Sainsbury's Cafe because not every branch has the Christmas dinner and I don't drive!!
Good value for money. Pity about there new coffee machine seems very slow. But know about that so will be back. Parking good as in sainsbury store.
We were delighted with the tasty breakfasts served at this cafe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our three indecisive boys. Well Done !
Breakfast, lunches, and sandwiches sold. Good menu with a lot of variety. Soup available most days, plus desserts, confectionery, and decent coffee. Recommended.
Slow service cold tea by mythe time my food eventually arrived. Clean place nice staff not busy in there so expected food to be quicker ??
