Enjoyable couple of hours spent with friends at a social distance outside in the beer garden, sheltered from the rain under a parasol with the outside heater. A coffee and swap of Christmas Presents in December. The Royal Standard went out of their way to help. One Christmas we won't forget.
We had a lovely meal here on Saturday, for starter we had scotch egg and mackerel pate, which was fantastic. For mains we had rib eye and sirloin steak, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be going back to support this local pub.
Brilliant steaks! Went just before lockdown with friends, great service,great staff, great lunch! Thanks The Standard! We will be back.
Lovely food, friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Definatley recommend.
