The Royal Society of Medicine is one of the largest providers of continuing medical education in the UK.

Story

The RSM acquired the site on the corner of Wimpole Street and Henrietta Place in 1910. King George V and Queen Mary opened the final home of the Royal Society of Medicine at No.1 Wimpole Street in May 1912.

Mission

Our aims are:

* To provide a broad range of educational activities and opportunities for doctors, dentists and veterinary surgeons, including students of these disciplines, and for allied healthcare professionals.

* To promote an exchange of information and ideas on the science, practice and organisation of medicine, both within the health professions and with responsible and informed public opinion.

Great armosphere. Elegance venue with a whole history behind. Very supportive staff. Tasty food and ample room for workshops and parallel scientific sessions. Central location with lots of public transport options.
Attended a Congress there in April. The venue was good, clean and beautiful. The decoration was lovely. The room was very very hot. Reception were asked twice to fix it but a few hours later it was still very hot. The catering was pretty awful to cater for Gluten free requirements: the cutlery was kept with a tray of bread on each side, the sugar was kept open with a tray of biscuits on each side, the waiter didn't know which ones of the 3 meal options were gluten free and the only GF options offered for two teabreaks and dessert were fruit, when people eating gluten had delicious cheesecakes, pastries and biscuits. I felt like an inconvenient despite having notified the venue my dietary requirements. Good thing that u wasn't expecting much of them and brought my own food to this catered event!
Excellent venue,went for work event. Lots space and different rooms to use. Great location for big conferences etc .
Nice venue for event receptions. But ask them to open the skylights when it's warm, as it can get like a sauna!
Fantastic event space. I hired RSM for a talk we were giving. All the staff from start to finish were attentive. Quick to respond and very efficient. Price was reasonable for the amenities provided. Very happy and would use this space again!
Amazing library with antique and old records..diaries..multiple rooms which can be hired for conducting seminars/meetings..there was one false fire alarm though which was unusual..but all in all a good experience..
Attended a conference there today, great event facilities, easy to get there from Paddington Station. Thanks to Why Sports Media Ltd for facilitating it. Speakers were excellent and informative.
Excellent venue with good food and accommodation. Very obliging staff.
Attended a medical conference here many years ago. Huge theatre space with excellent catering. Was also invited to a private dinner here too which was excellent and held in a private room. It is a beautiful venue for both private dinners and large conferences.
Met a friend here for the evening as she is a member here. We had drinks and dinner. The food and service was excellent. Lovely surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyable.
