Just been on the maternity ward for 9 days. Through difficult times the staff from the delivery suite, Neonatal and ward 17 have been absolutely fantastic. These women deserve all the respect in the world. The pay they get does not reflect on how hard they actually work. Credit to them for for everything they do. Thank you for bringing our little Reggie through the rough times and into our lives. Your work, care and compassion will never be forgotten.
Terrible service from Becky a triage nurse at Lancaster hospital at 13:30 on 15/9/22 she was very rude and wouldn't even take the time to listen to my concerns regarding my infected leg which Is red raw, swollen 3 times the size from top to bottom and my knee started weeping. I'm panicking it could be a blood clot, MRSA or sepsis and she wouldn't even take a look and told me to go to a walking centre over 10miles away. I would understand if the clinic was busy but it was quiet. I dread to think how the general public are treated after what I experienced today. As a former employee at Manchester Royal Infirmary I am absolutely disgusted at this subpar service this would never happen at the MRI especially not to a staff member.
Amazing staff, had a heart attack and cannot praise the staff of the a&e and the coronary care unit highly enough. I was treated quickly and with skill, compassion and humour. Now back home and on the mend after a trip to Blackpool Victoria hospital also wonderful staff and equipment for an angiogram and a stent. Any delay waiting for a ward bed was due to being very busy on a bank holiday and entirely beyond their control. Just dropped a couple of tubs of sweets in at A&E and coronary care just as a little thank you. Enjoy
The worst Aand E experience of my life! My partner had collapsed and I took him there ! Jammed full like cattle! Reception like a prison phone booth! Waiting room like a third world country!staff shouting through screens to communicate! Waiting times written up are a joke in reality! My partner so I’ll I had to leave as NO doctor apparently at home and coming in - Three hours later! Still no show! Asked if test results can be forwarded to his doctor as can not stay as he was getting worse- told “if everyone did that what’s the point of A nE”
I would of given my rating as 1 star if it wasn't for 2 health care assistants who went out of there way to help calm me. They sat with me, stroked my back when needed, and softly spoke to me to ease my fears. The staff in a&e were dreadful, no communication, no time no care, was there 8.5hrs before being moved to the annex round the corner for a bed to be found. Here I spent several days on a trolley and if it wasn't for hca Irene on days and Elaine at night I dread to think what would of happened as they really showed me compassion. Would like to say a big thank you to them both x
I recently spent almost two weeks on ward 35. I can not praise the staff enough for the care that I received. Without exception, the staff were kind, compassionate and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all of you for looking after me and putting me on the road to recovery. Bless you all for such dedication in these very trying times.
I recently had an appointment with the Lancaster Hospital Opthamology Dept. Thank you to the nurse who explained what was going to happen and putting me at ease. Also my Consultant who was amazing. I came away after my laser treatment able to see again. My first experience at this hospital was very positive. Efficient and cheerful. Thank you very much.
AMU ward absolute disgrace to NHS you fob relatives off with ring back later never answer the phone and you cancel important urgent outpatient appointments because you can’t be bothered to get a porter, don’t inform relatives with what is happening to their loved ones and then discharge the patient with no discharge letter ????? You should be ashamed of yourselves to call yourselves caring professionals when you don’t care about the vulnerable patients or their families
Very good visit, disabled parking right out side the entrance, perfect. No waiting nice friendly staff and very quick appointment, right on time stated. A good experience.
The best A&E experience we ever had. Thank you Rachel, Duncan and everyone else!
