Arriving in the early hours I thought I was having a mild heart attack and was worried about worse to come. I saw a nurse quickly and tests were carried out. There was then a long wait and results came some hours later and I was seen by a doctor. It seemed like an age but overall pretty good and efficient service. I don't think I could have expected more.
Absolutely outstanding care by all the staff I came across In endoscopy at furness general. I am not from Cumbria originally and was nervous attending a new hospital but they were fantastic, friendly, very professional and made me feel so much better than I anticipated. Amazing set up and teamwork…. Thank you so much!
Arrived in A& E and was seen in 10 minutes for BP, blood test and ECG. But then I sat waiting for 4 more hours . The waiting room was hot and busy and nobody was wearing a mask. I finally asked at reception and was told that the ECG results were ok. Couldnt I have just been told that sooner ? I've now got Covid and as it's the only place I've been for weeks I must have it caught in A&E
Trying to contact a department to receive results from nearly three weeks ago, it's an absolute disgrace being passed from pillar to post on unfit for purpose phone lines with two different annoying tunes playing and waiting for over twenty mins is unacceptable! Awaiting twenty mins to try and cancel an appt, won't be ringing again. Still awaiting results.
Had to pick up some equipment supplied by the hospital after a patient needed for after a knee operation all supplied and stacked easy for collection Respect for all you hard work and efforts From the Lynott Family and my self
I visited my dad on Monday 2nd January 2023 on ward 4i traveled from Bradford West Yorkshire which is nearly 3 hours by car one nurse was lovely and told me where my dad was I was then told by another nurse I had to go because the ward was closed because of covid my dad hadn't got covid when I said where I had come from she said dad would be home the next day so I could visit him there she is still in hospital with no date on his rwalease my dad was upset that I had to go so was I my dad is at end of life I didn't get the nursed name as I was to upset she was a black lady her attitude stunk
I cannot fault the care I got from all the staff in the gynecology unit from the receptionist to all the nurse, they really put me at ease
Currently a patient in fgh. Why do they take your medication from you..lock it away..and make you wait over 2 hours to get a prescription from the doctor to give your own meds back to you?? Beggar believe
I've been told about the lovely sausages and excellent beer garden. Couldn't fathom why there is a dedicated bin for mashed potato but I look forward to seeing it with my own human eyes. Not to be confused with potato eyes #savetheNHS
I was very well looked after on my last visit to Furness General Hospital A&E
