I found Route 6 Cycles by searching the web for local cycle repair/servicing.  I was very impressed with the website's clarity and, especially the detailed and extremely positive reviews.  I made contact, via the website and email and Richard immediately responded with details of the service, pricing and pick up etc.  I took my bike and met Richard who is obviously knowledgeable, able and just a great guy to meet.

Within a few days (well before I expected) Richard sent me a detailed breakdown of the service he'd undertaken and the few, inexpensive parts needed to ensure the bike is in good fettle for a long cycle/trek in Scotland.  All most impressive and for a very reasonable charge.  The bike rides like a dream and is far smoother than it was!

I'm more than happy to recommend Richard and Route 6 Cycles.  An excellent service. You will not be disappointed. Now to get fit!

I'm a very happy customer after the bike service that Richard provided. I had an issue with a headset bearing on my road bike and he had it sorted for me within the same day. I would highly recommend based on my great experience!

I'm reluctant to take my bike elsewhere other than the Specialized store with it being a high spec bike from them, but with such excellent service today, I will be returning. All the great reviews are justified, and I most definitely received a 5 star service. Cheers Richard, you do a fantastic job!

I have a  GT gravel bike and spend most of my time on trails from moderate to more aggressive trying to keep up with my mate whom drops it on a mountain bike . For this type of riding effective brakes are an absolute essential especially on steeper descents.

My brake pads needed replacing and a complete brake tune up was required. I called Richard he came over collected my bike and had the job done  the next day,and not only that he also brought back my bike. these brakes are now more efficient than they have ever been since owning the bike.

One thing you get from Richard that you don't get from from a shop these days is someone whom genuinely cares about your bike and he goes the extra mile to make sure you are a satisfied customer.

If you care about your bike take it to a proper bike mechanic whom knows what he is doing and actually cares about your bike as much as you do.

Rich takes a genuine interest in what you want and gives an honest opinion on what you need.
I would highly recommend him.

Had a full service on my bike, including a pickup/drop-off at no extra cost. The bike was back within the week, I was consulted before any new parts were ordered and all of my communication with Rich was friendly and courteous. Great bloke and will definitely be using him again when it comes back around to servicing time!

Highly recommended!
