Been into the shop today to order a bike for my son for Christmas. I was having a bad morning and feeling quite sorry for myself. As soon as I stepped in store, Mark asked me if I needed help. After telling him what I needed he took me to the bike department and helped me place my order, he went over and above for me and made sure I was getting the best deal possible. I am so grateful for his patience and assistance. I managed to save 150 pound off the bike too! I am no longer having a bad day thanks to Mark!!!

Dan was extremely polite and helpful fitting my new wipers today. Spent time afterwards chatting to me, giving me advice about being a new driver and explaining the benefits of joining the Halford motoring club. I didn’t feel at all embarrassed about not knowing a lot about cars. Great bunch of lads and will go again if I ever need car help. Fairly reasonable price too.

I don't know who the member of staff was that half served me but he came across as totally obnoxious, wasn't expecting that attitude in a store like that.....he walked off half way through serving me, and passed the service over to a nice younger guy. Think power may have gone to his head. Won't be returning to that outlet.

My son had to take his bike in last Wednesday to be repaired and I received a txt from them saying my sons bike will be ready by today 26th February. I've just rung halfords n I was told his bike hasn't been looked at because they're short staffed n said wouldn't be ready till Wednesday 1st march so now I'm not happy. He needs his bike to go to college on. Thanx for letting my son down halfords

We bought the above set online,based on the number plate,we were in a masive rush to get redy to leave for Christmas holiday,my wife picked this up,brought it to the garage that the car was,we handed to the garage individual without opening it before or check for any missing parts,the minute we gave it to mechanic he said there is one bolt missing,not only that but he tried them on and not even fit.i have called Halfords to let them know of the issues,very kindly they said no issues there,go back to the place we bought it from and the store manager will assist us,by my mistake i end up going to a different Halfords ,NG17 1BE is the one that we collect it from,but i was in a rush and end up in a different Halfords store NG18 2RA,a lady called JANE implied that i have lost one of the missing bolts,and i should deal with it.Really unprofessional and rude by a member of staff that suppose  to help,she didn't even let me explain

Excellent friendly, courteous service, everything was explained well and was told any problems to come back to them.

My first visit to Halfords and will not be my last. I found the whole experience from start to finish excellent I needed a new back number plate for my car which was fitted on site in under 30 minutes including  a free 10 pints check. Thanks guys.

Credit where credit is due, I placed my order for the Halfords single burner camping stove and four campingaz butane bottles, we went down this morning to pick them up and in typical scatter brain fashion I forgot to take my phone and the piece of paper I had written the number on. I’m disabled and sent my wife in to see if we still could collect them,The young man who served her was so helpful, even made two trips out to the car to speak to me. That’s above and beyond, wish I knew his name but he knows who he is. Halfords you have a good employee there.

I pay for cycle care and took my chain to get fixed... get it home and realise its got a flat tyre?? Why wouldn't they tell me/fix that too?

I took my bike to halfords for a check over and was informed that it needed some work doing on it, new brake pads, brake cable, gear cable and new chain, so booked it in for a silver service and the repair work. Had a phone call, also needed some new gearing so ok'd that to go ahead Collected it once finished and was looking forward to a good run on it, on checking it over noticed that my rear reflector was missing, which really annoyed me as it was the original from the bike being new anyhow wanted to try it out so went on a ride, first couple of miles chain come off, so thought ok this can happen, but same thing occurred another twice, but also the gears were not functioning properly slipping on some and eventually ended up having to ride home in a low gearing setting just to keep going Took it back the next day and they said leave it with them for an hour they would sort the issues out and give me a call when finished, five hours later no phone call so popped in as I was passing by and they said "yes it's finished" but no luck finding my rear reflector and would have to order one in for me. Although a bit disillusioned by this I thought well don't have a lot of choice so agreed to them ordering one which I'm still waiting for Tried the bike out in their car park before leaving, although there was some improvement it was still slipping on some of the gears and on the middle to high changeover and also the bike stand was hanging loose I had lost all faith in halfords by this stage so brought my bike home, luckily, I have a work colleague who has been around bikes for the past 30+ years so asked him to have a look at it for me, within 10 seconds he spotted that the handlebars/front forks had play in them Left it with him overnight to sort out and next day got my bike in proper working order, he had sorted everything without issue So unfortunately for me I cannot make any recommendation to use halfords from my own experience except to say stay clear and find someone who knows what they are doing As someone else commented you can't give no stars if you wish to post so one star given under protest
