Absolutely beautiful place, situated in a Saxon conservation area. There are parking spaces, but parking is tricky due to the lovely narrow streets and walls! Once we found a space we headed across a green to the pub and it looked lovely. Inside expect gorgeous features, beams, fireplaces and fairy lights. Menu is brilliant.nStaff are friendly and very attentive and informative. Mixed grill was delicious and highly recommend the cheesy mushroom sauce as an accompaniment! It was unctuous! The children's Mac and cheese was a small portion, but we ordered extra cheese garlic bread and onion rings, so our son didn't go hungry.nWe loved it and would highly recommend a visit. Burgers looked amazing! Everything was cooked and presented beautifully.
Nice looking place. Sat inside in the small room in front of the door with our dog for a couple of pints out of the sun with no problems. Went in the next day to sit in the same place and have food only to be greeted by some jobsworth telling us that we couldn't sit there because that part isn't dog friendly?? No problem we just left and took our money over to the farmers arms where we had delicious Italian food instead.
The most inedible food I have ever tasted. All the veg on dinner plate was stewed under a heat lamp for a very long time Parsnips were like blocks of wood pastry on squash pie was sweet pastry not savoury and could not even taste spinach or squash in the pie. Staff took it on board comments and made reduction on final bill
Staff were amazing very friendly & welcoming. Food was well presented & absolutely gorgeous. Would recommend this to my friends & family we will be visiting again in 2 week's
Fantastic ... great service although busy as soon as we walked in . Staff where friendly and efficient!!nFood was A1 .. 2 x roasts and a ultimate burger .nWould recommend and return .nCan get busy but parking near by
