Have eaten here on two occasions for food and visited numerous times for cocktails. Food was great on both occasions, although I agree that the portions for starters can be a little small choose wisely and ask about the size prior to ordering. The great selection of spirits make for an exciting cocktail menu. The staff are very attentive and the building is amazing.
I've eaten here just the once and enjoyed it. It's expensive but the food quality is high. I like that you don't know what you're getting e.g. Surf & Turf is not steak and prawns, it's something else - you can ask the waiter what if you like or be surprised! Sounds crazy but it's a good twist. The only thing I don't like is how dead it always seems to be. I've also been a few times for after work drinks and find the bar a bit small but probably not the place to go for a big group of you anyway!
Beautiful converted venue with original features from it's banking history. A really well priced set menu and a well thought through, modern a la carte. They are always willing to do something special for a birthday or celebration so make sure you let them know. Good food, lovely venue, amazing cocktails!
Across the road from Rosso in the heart of the business district of Manchester. Room is just above Victorias Secret. I visited on a Thursday night and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of Room in there, huge ceilings, huge lamps and plenty of tables. It's on the pricier side for drinks and seemed to be full of YWP's with some cash to splurge, it was payday weekend though. All in all, I'm glad I visited but it's not really my sort of place.
absolutly awful meal here. very overpriced for the quality of food. and the atmosphere more like a nightclub than intimate eating venue. would not recommend it one little bit.
Here for a Christmas dinner. Utter nonsense... Starters came before they even asked us for drinks. Food portions were tiny, ponsy, and sub par. This is why Manchester lacks a Michelin star... all flash no knickers.
Very modern restaurant with poor food, small portions and very unfriendly staff. Expected this to be much better as the food and drinks were quite expensive. Not very much of an atmosphere.
Enjoyed a meal at the establishment,the ambiance was great.Myself and family were attended to very well and we were made to feel special.Our waiters attended to our needs, the food was great and on time.The team worked well and flawlessly not forgetting the kitchen staff for their great effort in preparation and good presentation of the food.Keep up the good work,impressed.Our main waiter John and Kate the receptionist thank you guys and the waitress who volunteered herself to take our family picture at the door, that was a special touch.Will be visiting the establishment again soon.
"The young reception lady was very welcoming. Sheused my first name & this really was nice. The dinning room and bar are very impressive - great original features! The staff are very attentive & friendly and very good. On the night we ate there were 22 in the Room 12 in one party so the atmosphere was a little flat but we still enjoyed it. In all a very nice place to eat - great staff - and lovely food! Downside? - the food is great but i advise a couple of sides - the portions are gastro and for a big lad not enough to fill me. They dont serve pints and on a quiet night the noise from the bar was a touch intrusive but overall it was great. The food by the way - Custard dessert & i believe the treacle tart is stunning!"
mediocre food, very small quantity. bad ambiance, too much noise. extremely expensive, not at all value for money.
