Steak was OK. Nothing special as they claimed it would be. Was not bad either dont get me wrong. Just a bit tough. And expensive compared to the bars next door. Paid 20 for 1 sirloin 8lb.. They did have good cocktails 2 for the price of 1. Around 8£
Brilliant staff, friendly and helpful. Wine was alright, only 3 housewines in total so it's a rather small selection especially for people like me who eats alone. Steak was great, ordered a blue, and came as a blue. Great atmosphere, its quiet on Monday nights, but great music makes it seem more lively than it is. Overall a rather enjoyable experience. Deserved a 4 star.
Went to the brew off and over all it was a great night. Thought it took a little bit long for each course to come out bit the first 5 where fantastic. It was a shame that the desert was a lot down. The majority of the beers that had been paired with the food where great. The staff where also very friendly.
My boyfriend and I love trying new places to eat, but since coming to Rookwood two weeks after it first opened we have been back numerous times, and always had amazing food and amazing service. Staff are always really helpful and informative and are always clear on what I can have that is gluten free they are brilliant on cross contamination and will tell me if the food is cooked in a separate fryer or not - they often do! And they are more than happy to adapt menu items so that I can enjoy as much as possible. Would highly recommend this place, lovely atmosphere and always seems busy so make sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment or a long wait.
Great place, good selection of craft beer in bottles and a couple on tap and when you're done drinking the bbq steak and burgers upstairs are some of the best around. The staff are friendly and always ready to help with recomendations. The restaurant can get busy so it's always best to book. Edit just been to Great Rookwood Brew Off, excellent night out, six local beers paired with six excellent courses of food - recommended
Solid BBQ spot near central Liverpool. Very attentive service and friendly staff. Recommend the burgers and the wings. Wife had a great vegetable skewer plate with halloumi. Large selection of tap beers to wash down the tasty Cue.
Awesome swanky place. DIDN'T I REPEAT... DID NOT..... Turn on the console's for us.... One of the main reasons we went there! Good beer, not too loud. Cool decor! Wife said the cocktails were nice and the barman took great care in making them still not the best she had tasted though that is subjective.
THE best burger in Liverpool, and I've tried the best of the rest. The Scotch Egg soft boiled was also a winner. Attention to detail is everywhere with the food, fries and slaw were knockout delicious too. Totally bowled over guys, will be back soon.
Outstanding Sunday roast at only £13 each! Lots of choice on the menu
The home of the best burgers In liverpool!! Staff are mega friendly, Beer selection is great. The burgers are just amazing! and Killer fries. If there was a higher being out there then this would be where he'd get his bbq fix!
