Story

Welcome to Cowshed, a place born from our love with beef, especially steaks.
Choose from either one of our favourite steaks on the menu or something from our wonderfully created specials, lovingly prepared by our small but exceptional kitchen team.
We advise how our steaks should be cooked; these are beautiful cuts of meat and by cooking them anymore, may (probably will), effect how the steak tastes and its’ tenderness. Please trust us, well done is not the way forward!

We visited for the first time last night and loved the place and food. Service was excellent throughout too. We tried the current special and it was full of flavour, with a perfectly cooked steak. The smoked bacon and maple cream was also a highlight and went perfectly with the steak, along with the spring onion mash. We also tried the garlic bread and current croquettes special braised beef brisket. Both of these were packed with flavour. We can't wait to visit again!
This place oozed class from start to finish. Service, ambience, rustic decor & cool art work, sides, value for money, mains, sauces, cocktails and wine choice were all impeccable. Oh, and steaks were cooked to perfection, too. Highly recommend the croquette special, waffles & eggs and cabbage sides; and the spicy margarita to wash it all down! We will be back, thank you!
This place is absolutely unbelievable, the staff are so friendly and informative. The food is outstanding we got the greedy cow for 2 and you definitely do not need any starters with this we were so full and we couldn’t even finish the portions are amazing !!!. Highly recommend the peppercorn sauce I’m not a fan usually but this one is something else very rich so you don’t need more than one. Also recommend the Passionfruit Margarita was refreshing easily the best steak in Liverpool.
Loved it, the food was superb, service was great too. Nice quirky place. We had 3 cheese truffle garlic bread to start and the greedy cow for 3. Steak was amazing, sauces were beautiful and the savoy cabbage & green bean mix was really tasty. My husband got a complimentary brownie and shot for his birthday too. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again!!!
Been here several times and always had a great experience. The last time we went was with my husband, my sister and her partner and my mum to celebrate my husband's birthday. Food was amazing, wine was lovely and our server was so friendly and funny. The greedy cow is great value. Was an evening full of laughs and great food, in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend, although probably not the best place for you if you're vegetarian or vegan but they do have cauliflower steak. Vegetarian options: Is has a cauliflower steak and some other vegetarian options, but being a steak restaurant limited as you would expect. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of stairs, so probably not the best for wheelchairs
This place was INCREDIBLE! We got three steaks to share ‘greedy cow’ and they were all cooked to perfection. Gorgeous atmosphere, lovely cocktails, brilliant service. Felt very relaxed despite being a nice steak restaurant. Perfect for date night. Can’t wait to go back.Food: 5/5
First time visiting. The staff were all super friendly. We had the shared. Steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were lovely. Good value for money with how much you get. Will deffo return in the future!Food: 5/5
The reviews and coverage online and via TikTok are very impressive and possibly don't do justice how good this place is - it's even better for real! The platter was epic. 3 cuts of premium, tasty steak. Accompanied by a couple of creamy sauces and crunchy veggies. A really extensive drinks menu with original beers and wines to choose from. A lovely location and quaint atmosphere. Very happy to have chosen here as an alternative to Sunday lunch. Very fairly priced and left feeling like it had been great value and like you'd had a quality steakhouse experience. I'd very much recommend
Great place! Absolutely enjoyed our time there, food and service was amazing. It was my partner’s bday and they surprised him with a piece of cake and candle. For sure we will back there next time in Liverpool.Food: 5/5
